Next up in our summer series of members’ articles, we move to focus on one of the key sources of Fantasy talent – Tottenham Hotspur.

We start by analysing their performance on a team level, assessing last season’s data in order to spot trends and areas improvement. Following that, we drill down into the player data, pinpointing the key individuals.

For this article, we also focus on two specific points of interest for Fantasy managers – assessing the Dele Alli versus Christian Eriksen conundrum, while weighing up the allure of Harry Kane as a “fire and forget” captaincy option.

It’s fair to say that Mauricio Pochettino’s side showed their mettle last season after a disastrous end to 2015/16 saw them pick up two points in the final four fixtures and tumble out of the title race.

Spurs improved their points haul from 70 to 86 and also scored far more goals than beforehand – a total of 86 was far superior to 69 in the previous campaign and more than any team in the top-flight.

        Both are punty but I like the jones gamble with Alex A as cover. I thought Fraser and Abraham would be a consensus.

          Depends... are you set on a United defender? If so probably Valencia or Bailly. Can't see Jones starting many games.
          If not, I'd go with Chelsea - Azpil or if you're willing to spend the money then maybe Alonso.

          Big Fraser fan btw, he's been in and out of several iterations of my team, slight worry about nailed-on-ness but I think he's as good as any mid up to 6.5m.

    Pretty damn solid IMO

    No compromise in midfield quality over my normal drafts. Also I'm spending the same in defense as I plan to for my normal 343 drafts, but with those the last 3 defenders are 5.0/4.5/4.0, but here 3x 4.5's are better to allow rotation options for the 442.

    I guess one compromise is Kane + Mkhi rather than Lukaku + Alli (costs 0.5 more), but I like this combination better anyway.

    And honestly Elliot is as good a value if not better than Foster as long as they don't sign another GK.

    (The 4.5m defenders are random, I haven't worked out a rotation or anything)

    In a Draft league I have:

    Eriksen, Salah, Coutinho, Ramsey, Zaba
    Lukaku, Morata, Vardy.

    Would you transfer Vardy to Batshuayi, to make a handcuf with Morata?
    I am a bit concerned with Leicester this season, and the impact of Iheanacho on Vardy.

        He seems to be first choice during pre season. And I think its a gamble worth taking with Southampton fixtures. If he's not starting in the first few game weeks I'll take him out for Chicharito or Gabbiadini. Just not sure who I'll drop for the extra 0.5
