Our summer series of members’ articles – offering an in-depth team-by-team analysis of 2016/17 – continues with West Bromwich Albion.

To begin with, we’ll look at the performance levels over the team statistics in an attempt to spot trends or improvements.

We then delve into the player data, analysing the key individuals as we scour for early targets ahead of the new season.

In addition, we’ll check in on the Baggies’ threat from set-pieces, in particular, with their reliance on dead-ball situations remaining pivotal to their prospects.

West Brom certainly upped their attacking output in the previous season.

Pulis’ side netted a mere 34 goals – the second-worst record in the top-flight – on their way to finishing in fourteenth spot in 2015/6. Yet last term, they found the net on 43 occasions to claim tenth position.

      For me, yep. I think Spurs will go 3421 to help cover the RB issue, with Sissoko (ex-Newcastle) as RWB and Davies on the left.

        Literally anyone in the Citeh team could assist the goal scorer. David Silva was playing just as advanced as KdB in the 352 against West Ham the other day. I wish I could see more of Jesus and Aguero together, or even go with the penalty taker.

    Really like JRod - think 6.0 is an absolute bargain. But I can't decide between Kane, Lukaku & Jesus and kinda want all three...

    The problem with JRod is that the other options are thin if he fails, will have to go to Mounie or upgrade to Gabbi/Hernandez - whereas the 6m midfielder bracket seems /potentially/ quite deep...

    Thoughts on JRod/Mounie vs 6m mids?

      Personally J-Rod or any of the other budget options seem like a waste of a striker slot - I think those are the slots which will provide the most points and so prefer cheaper MF options.
