Dugout Discussion – Watford vs Arsenal

Saturday’s action comes to a conclusion at Vicarage Road as Watford entertain Arsenal in the 5.30pm kick-off.

We have a chance to scout budget midfielder Richarlison as the fixtures fall in the Hornets’ favour from Gameweek 10.

The Brazilian has bagged three goals and two assists already, though has yet to find the net in front of his own supporters.

For the Gunners, there’s no Alexis Sanchez or Aaron Ramsey, while Mesut Ozil only warms the bench.

Alex Iwobi – at just 5.1 – earns a third start in four Gameweeks in light of his strike against Brighton last time out.

Meanwhile, Alexandre Lacazette, the fourth top captain choice for this round of fixtures, looks to break his away drought, with all four of the Frenchman’s goals arriving at the Emirates.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Torn between 2 options for next move

    A) Davies to Jones
    B) Firmino to Vardy

Man utd 7/8 CS is ridiculous so feeling I need cover in their defence and Davies fixtures and rotation risk is getting concerning

Firmino doing nothing though and Vardy has no europe to care about. Mane out for a while means firmino should be safer but it also means Liverpool don't score a lot.

    Any views?

think kun/jesus is going to have a big bearing on how season unfolds. with city scoring for fun i think 1 of them is essential-ish. and just take the odd benching on the chin

I agree, as long as you have some reasonable bench options it should be fine. If City average 3g per game then I won't care if they get 70 mins each time.

During the IB someone asked which GK if any would get an assist. I think most went for Ederson, mainly playing on Pep's good with his feet mantra.

So freaky that a GK assist occurred right away on FPL's return, with Joe Hart getting an assist today.

      1. Pochecinno

Good feet mantra means playing from the back not route one long ball. It's fitting that it was the West Ham that got it.

Surely dumping Salah maybe even Eriksen for some people, for Sterling is an odd move? Awfully knee-jerkey in my eyes. Yes Sterling hauled today but he has Bernardo and Sane to contend with, and Aguero is back, which will definitely affect his minutes.

If you had him today then well done, i debated it but avoided, didnt want a hit. Mistake made, i wont get rid of Salah for him because Salah has 3 great fixtures after Spurs when Sterling will be at a massive rotation risk! I think Sterling is a short term option.

Thoughts on this? I think Silva and KDB are the best options in the midfield, despite Sterlings red hot form.

Two things stood out for me today re the cheap mid slots.

First, Richarlison is the real deal. Coming in my team as soon as this diving thing is resolved.

Second, Choupo isn't. Too many players to take the points of him at Stoke. Looks like there are four or five attacking players to share them around.
