The Men In Black – Gameweek 12

Our work behind the scenes, which is set to bring referee data to the members’ section early next week, is now close to completion.

From that point, members can expect another Development Squad article, updating you with details on the full data on offer.

With that in mind, we thought we’d roll out an introductory piece will share some data and offer a basic analysis of the “men in black” ahead of Gameweek 12.

Essentially, the idea is to look for any patterns in the numbers which could potentially help shape Fantasy decision-making for the round of fixtures ahead.

Morata is the better pick but he wasn't in the question.

Lacazette the 5th best CF option in the game and only Morata is cheaper of the better ones.

Minutes are only going to go up and Arsenal have some really good fixtures post Christmas.

    Thoughts on my team?

    Pope - Elliot
    Bellerin - Jones - Moreno - Yedlin - Naughton
    Salah - Sterling - Ramsey - Richarlison - Carroll
    Aguero - Kane - Vardy

Gonna wait for press conferences before I do anything but seriously considering just biting the bullet and taking a hit to bump up Vardy to Morata or Lukaku. Vardy has been stinking up my team for so long.

    Perhaps Bellerin + Vardy -> Daniels + Morata (-8)

All 4 of my mids have been consistently delivering (surprised Ramsey isn't a more popular pick) so don't feel the need to invest any more there.

Anyone thinking about "waiting until after Liverpool" for Hazard and/or Morata:

The following teams have played Liverpool and not just looked to grab a 0-0 draw (i.e., not United, Palace, Maribor etc. i.e. unadventurous sides)

        Spurs - scored 4
        Citeh - scored 5
        Sevilla - scored 2
        Leicester - scored 2
        Watford - scored 3
        Hoffenheim - scored 3 in 2 games

I would not be concerned about bringing in any attacking player for a team who will look to take the game to Liverpool, their defence is not up to it

I'm waiting, Chelsea may take the game to Liverpool but Liverpool get up for these high profile games and will more than match them.

A Liverpool win would stun no one, it wasn't that long ago that Chelsea were getting dicked by Palace, Roma and hanging on for their life against Watford.

"Liverpool get up for these high profile matches"

Getting their pants pulled down by Spurs already been forgotten? Citeh running through them like a warm knife through butter? I'm not saying they won't be an attacking force, but they will almost certainly concede, and could concede plenty

They've also hardly concede at home in the league, home and away from differs, I agree but they are at home against Chelsea.

They have played Palace, Huddersfield, a United team who turned up for a 0-0 and (a very poor) Arsenal at home in the league and kept clean sheets.

They have also conceded against Burnley, Hoffenheim (2) and Sevilla (2). Home and away form may be one consideration. Maybe take a second to consider home and away oppositions too...

And you expect an Italian manager who's very tactically strong to turn up at Anfield and play into their hands by going for them so they can be picked off on the counter?

Ok, I look forward to that spectacle.

I don't get all the love for Liverpool and Burnley defenders on WC right now. I look at their next 6 fixtures each and I see ONE clean sheet for Liverpool, maybe 2 for Burnley. And not even rotating, both their easiest games are this GW.

Liverpool v solid at home, awful away.

Only SOU looks like a likely CS, even going with the facts, no?

Arsenal, Leicester and Watfords away from means those three games look tough for a cleanie. Swansea looks like a likely one. Bournemouth have struggled at home but are historically offensively strong hence maybe a second.
Burnley are far outdoing their xG conceded, there's definitely an argument here.

      Sevilla - scored 2

Based on last season Daniels won't be involved.

Wilson was usually the main man when available. The succession of different players stepping up to miss at the end of the season makes it slightly messy after him though. Other than him and Defoe you've got King, Stanislas, Afobe, Arter all in mix theoretically (albeit Stanislas and Afobe are injured as far as I know).

Bottom line is that Bournemouth had 11 penalties last season with 6 different takers, none of them doing very well and Daniels didn't get a sniff despite being on the pitch for 8 of them. Obviously he has taken them in the past so can't rule it out but it would be something of a surprise based on recent history.

    Richarlison's next five fixtures:

    WHU, new, MUN, TOT, bur

Apart from whu, rest four are tough defences to beat and whu too have a new manager so that game also becomes unpredictable.

No, but I do think 3-5-2 or 4-5-1 is the way to go from a captaincy efficency perspective... You must have a lot of big hits if you have both RLC & Niasse??

Herrera's quality. I'd love him at Everton.

A very good analogy. Time moves sideways or backwards when he has the ball.

Already got KDB and Sane, should I go Jesus -> Morata? Nobody knows if Aguero will be out against Leicester but it's highly likely and that would make it a bad timing to replace Jesus? .. decisions decisions ...

I could have trouble fielding 11 with this lot. Anything worth a hit? 1ft 0.5 banked.

For what it is worth, I think Jones, Alli and Sterling all have a decent chance of being fit on the weekend.

    Good afternoon,

Is Bavies to Matip a decent option? Seems to get a couple of very good chances every game from corners. Think he's a more secure pick than the fullbacks. Southampton not scoring much so good potential this weekend for points.

Backline is Bavies Daniels Jones Suttner and 3.9.

    No money ITB.

    Thanks.

Prefer Moreno if you're going down the scouse route.

Concerned a bit that Robertson might take away some game time from Moreno with champions League games ahead.

And if he does it'll most likely be a home game you'd expect.

Like Moreno as a pick, his goal against Tottenham will long stay in the memory.

Any changes needed chaps? 0 FT, 0.2 ITB:

    DDG
    Jones, Mee, Mariappa
    Sterling, Silva, Richarlison, Salah (C)
    Vardy, Morata, Kane (VC)

    (Elliot, RLC, Hegazi, Cedric)

    Cheers!

i'd personally put Cedric in place of Mariappa since the latter probably won't play and Southampton have a good record against Liverpool , also i'd take the armband off Salah and put it on Kane or Morata

No need for Pope and Mee, Elliot & Speroni looks optimum keeper combo.
      Prefer Alonso to Azpi.
Don't like the Niasse pick, I think you need a playing bench going forward and he could easily be out the team with a new manager.
Better options out there than Maguire.
      Nice midfield.
      7.5/10 imo.

Would like to keep Jesus this week but he needs to go eventually, and otherwise I need to play one of Tarroll Stephens or Simpson
