The ScoutCast – Episode 242 – Bandwidth

The Scoutcast team are reduced to a three-man line-up as Andy’s Azpilicueta-like run of appearances comes to end. Shifting to a new rural setting, he goes AWOL having been hamstrung by his “new” medieval internet connection.

That leaves myself, Jonty and Az to represent, as we struggle to muster our own bandwidth to meet the demands of an unexpected double Gameweek, landing right in the middle of the frantic festive spell.

That topic – and the strategy involving ScoutCast favourite Harry Kane – dominates your community questions and this 90-minute episode.

Elsewhere, we try to justify shunning Arsenal assets, choose the optimum routes into Watford’s fixtures and the Allardyce’s Everton revolution, before deciding if it’s time to bail on Manchester City’s attack.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

In order to get Kiko over Zeeg, are the following downgrades worthwhile?

Speroni > Perreira (Speroni may play a little more but reality is neither of them will likely play much)
    Mee> Tarkowski

No I don't think those downgrades make kiko worth it.

Danny Ings will become a 3rd striker option next month should he get his move. West Ham, Newcastle, Swansea, Brighton all want him on a loan.

He'd be great at Newcastle or Brighton.
He was massive when Burnley stayed up for the first time.
5.4 is a great price, too.

Agreed. I can't really see him at West Ham, though that would be the kind of cheapskate move that the dildo brothers would make and promote him as Messi.

    Selection headache:
Current bench is Wilson, Daniels & Gomez. Playing Naughton & Gross & happy with the rest. Naughton looks like a good chance of a CS & gets BPS, Gomez might not start.
Think that's right? Don't really like benching Wilson but I have Sakho in my defence.

i strongly feel Son is a very good option from now on without any CL matches and a very good captaincy option this week .. he is gonna score 12+ points for sure.. take it from me.. i have not seen a single person mentioning Son as an option over here... Get set for huge posts on him in the coming week

Might be worth a look for DGW. Atm I don't see Spurs as good enough to justify doubling up on (unless you're looking at him as a Kane alternative?).

Wondering if it is better to have Salah and Coutinho instead of Salah and Sterling/Sane/Silva for -4

If you have two City I'd certainly consider it - would rather double on Liverpool atm given the respective form of the 2 teams.

I'm considering Sane to Coutinho, don't want to take hit on it though.

Coutinho has form, on free kicks, on corners, and now potentially on penalties too.

If you have Pope its an easy one with C, but even without, they have a few injuries. The others I all have and I'm benching Kiko for no apparent reason, but I'd happily play him!

I would bench C and D. Watford is more likely to score than Burnley, I think. So I would play b and bench c in that match.
I started to the season with Daniels and benched him twice against MCI and EVE, he scored and assisted in those games. He is not only a CS material for me, I would not bench him either.

Yes, this is the week I believe (gut feeling). I have Hazard since GW8 and captaining him for last 2 GWs but this time I am with Kane. Besides, Kane got his rest in midweek and %100 starter for the weekend, Hazard can be benched (even it is a very small possibility, it is there)

Perhaps last call this GW for advise, looks like I have settled on my WC team:

    Speroni
    Mustafi Christenssen Mee
    Salah Hazard Sterling Richarlison Gross
    Kane Firmino

    Hennessey DCL Gomez Kiko

GKs are obviously horrible I know 🙁 but it gives me nice 1.1 ITB.
Any other advise to improve this team will be helpful 🙂

depends how cheap the drinks are in the ground. you can bring your own kola but if you bring a big bottle it'll be all warm and flat towards the end of the match.

also, you might not want to drink too much to avoid having to queue for a piss at halftime.

Both Kolasinac and Arsenal in general have improved a lot recently. No CL also helped to keep them fresher for the Christmas fixtures.

The only downside (for a defender like Kola) is that they have very easy home games coming up.
