The Technical Area – Richarlison Under Analysis

Despite the lack of fanfare surrounding Richarlison’s Premier League arrival (as demonstrated by his sub-0.1% opening ownership level), a sensational series of early Gameweeks quickly drew widespread Fantasy interest in Watford’s wide man, and have even sparked rumours of his inclusion in Brazil’s World Cup squad for the upcoming summer.

Richarlison burst out of the gate impressively, with a goal and an assist in his first two games, and an impressive four strikes in his first seven.

Of late, however, the returns have begun to dry up for Watford’s main man. Now goalless in his last ten, his ownership has tumbled from a high of 1.1 million to just 900,000 over the last few weeks. The emergence of similarly-priced budget options in Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard and West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic have also seen Richarlison slide down our own Watchlist.

Has Richarlison’s play deteriorated over recent Gameweeks – or can we expect to find him back amongst the goals in 2018?

We’ll be exploring the Brazilian’s numbers across a range of key categories, in order to ascertain his value moving forward into the second half of the FPL campaign.

Which of these moves with 2 ft's next week is a go?

    A) Morata + Son > Salah + Vardy

    OR

    B) Morata + Surman > Salah + Quaner

Essentially, what I'm asking is who would you want over the next 3/4 - Son/ Vardy?

Don't like it personally. Hazard just not getting enough goal-scoring opportunities. Kane will have about a billion shots against Everton this week

The Liverpool vs Man City 13/14 match was on last, and watching that celebrations from Stevie G and post match interview was a bit difficult knowing what was to come.

Can't believe they didn't take the leque that season with 4 games remaining after that victory.

in the next game I remember Man city scoring a late equaliser at home to Sunderland from Nasri with terrible goalkeeping by Mannone. it proved a crucial equaliser as without it Liverpool cold have afforded to lose to chelsea

I hope Alexis goes to Utd, could do without the additional rotation headaches for City. Mkhi to Arsenal might open up another mid-price midfield asset too.

Well, they've certainly tabled the better deal to Arsenal. They can probably offer the player more money too.

do you know what the offer was?

Hope he goes to utd too as a fan and also think its good for City to be pegged back a bit

I think Alexis will be much more confidant of nailing down a place in the first team at United whereas he would have no such guarantee at City.

And Mkhitaryan needs a change he has a lot of class but his confidence is shot at United.

What are your thoughts on Pogba vs Lingard at their current prices (7.9 and 6.3) respectively?

    Who would you pick?

Lingard all day mate... Pogba being wasted by Jose as a number 6... Lingard is virtually playing as a second striker at present.... 4 double digit hauls over the last 9 matches and and 8 and a 5 in the other weeks too! hes outscoring Salah over the last 2 months.... absolute bargain....

My nailed on mids are now: Lingard Salah Sterling

if youve got Sterling I might keep Hazard believe it or not... their fixtures are soo good he has to start hauling soon!

      i'm having the same dilemma.

i don't think lingard's place/form is sustainable but the price is right.tho i don't really know how i'd invest the difference esp with the ever-drying up of expensive striker options.

i wonder if lukaku is about to re-assert himself...

Stick with Kane imo.. the lingard hype is going too far now.. having him is great I admit ,(even though I prefer Pogba over him), but captaining him? No way

Id prolly still pick Pogba.. bonus point magnet, and more nailed. Lingard might be nailed atm, but a couple of bad runs and he is out again. So it.depends on wether you have other transfers planned down the line. If you do so, id go for Pogba. If you dont, id go for Lingard

If Lingard stops scoring and is out, that is just fine! Just get rid of him then with saved ft. If he keeps scoring and is nailed, what is the problen?!?

why would you prefer Pogba?? hes way more expensive and scores far less.....

It is going too far when people actually consider captaining him.. bot going to far by owning him as I explained. I prefer pogba because of bps and nailedness. He will imo outscore lingard over the next 5-7 games

(RP - got very little love) For another fantasy game (basically same point system, other transfer rules)

Which combo would you prefer for a one week punt:

    A) Lukaku + Chambers/Holding/wba def/crp def
    B) Lacazette + Christensen
    C) Morata + Chambers/Holding/wba def/crp def
    D) Kane + Chambers/Holding/wba def/crp def
