Dugout Discussion – Spurs vs West Brom

Gameweek 35’s swansong finds Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwich Albion meet under lights at White Hart Lane. The former breezed past Manchester United and Stoke City in their past two matches, while the Baggies have lost four of their previous five fixtures.

Spurs’ rampaging attack ranks second for goals (11), total attempts (74), big chances (12) and shots on target (26) over their respective last four match-ups, highlighting their abundance of threat in the final third. Considering that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have chalked up a whopping 24 more shots on target than any team at home (136), the Baggies will do well to stop them scoring. On the other hand, Spurs will fancy their chances of earning a clean sheet having conceded just 13 big chances at the Lane all season.

Delving into the Baggies’ productivity away from The Hawthorns, they place second-bottom for goals (12) and sit last for attempts (140), shots inside the box (78) and shots on target (37). That being said, only three teams have recorded more clean sheets in road ties than West Brom (six), which suggests that Spurs could be in for a frustrating evening. Having posted four blank in five outings, Tony Pulis’ men are certain to bunker down in the capital.

During that massive snow in England about 5 years ago, only about 3 matches went ahead. Timmy Cahill was the only player to score well.

Yep, no one deserved to win that game. Fair play to West Brom, they done what they intended to do and Spurs lost their composure in the last 20 or so.

One home draw Balders and some people start spouting complete rubbish. Could do with 3 more Spurs defeats before the end of the season TBH.
