Firmino is a horrible fantasy asset, ive said it all season. He gets less points for goals and assists as a forward but his bonus points may improve. He needs to better his output from last season to score as well, it isn't going to happen.
Waste of ££'s with so many mids firing. Salah is the true striker in our side. Would much rather Tammy with the double up in midfield of Salah and Mane than Salah & Firmino

In the upcoming fixtures, unfortunately I'm in the middle of a dilemma:
-Chelsea defensive cover (ideally Azpi, but realistically Courtois) and possibly Tottenham defensive cover (Vertonghen being the safest).
-Strong bench for the fixture congestion.

I don't think you'll be able to get any of those as I don't see anywhere you can downgrade. Maybe Ota to Moreno will allow you to get Chelsea cover but I think if you can afford to bench him this gw, Ottamendi is a keeper
If one of the 3 strikers was going to be sacrificed to do these upgrades, which one would it be?
Tough call, Kane obviously stays but then it's dependant on Kun's mins, if he's playing enough then it would have to be morata

I would do Otta to Dunk and Ryan to Courtois. No Azpi attacking returns but you save cash 9.9m for Courtois/4.5m defender vs 11.2m for Azpi/4.5m GK)

Is anyone else considering Courtois? Only 2 unfavourable fixtures in the next 16 Gws. With Kante back, you’d think the clean sheet returns should be decent. I normally steer clear of expensive GKs, but can see Courtois providing consistent returns similar to what DDG did to start the year.
Next best option if you can't get Azpi, issue is that Pope looks like he'll offer even more value till Heaton's back
My major issue with pope is I would need to transfer him out when Heaton returns (assuming he retakes #1). I never seem to have a spare transfer for a GK. I also have Ward and not keen on a Burnley double.
Fair enough, I'm hoping Pope rises enough for me to be able to get Heaton but in that case Courtois could be a very handy pick

Ya, I already have Ward so not getting pope myself. I am looking at it as Courtois/Burnley defense = 9.9m vs Azpi/pope = 11.2m.

Probably wouldn't hold Jesus even if that was the case as it means Jesus will be on the wing, don't see Pep changing the formation. Well surely Pep being the astute manager that he is, can tell who the more talented players are, he's now playing Sane every match which shows he knows just how good Sane is. I think if he had another striker Jesus, Aguero and Sane would be starting every match
They have both started together 4 times this year. Hard to gauge the last few weeks given Kun’s injury and CL and cup games. I am holding onto Jesus a few more weeks. Then again, I’m having a terrible year so far....
And Jesus scored 3 goals in those 4 games (1 of the 4 he was pulled at halftime due to Walker being sent off)
The thing is Morata is a better captain pick than Jesus on the wing so wouldn't be worth holding Jesus if he and Kun play together but Jesus plays out wide
I’ll never captain Jesus unless Kun gets Injured. Harry will be my captain pretty much every week. I currently have Hazard as a risky captain option if he has a favourable home game.

I did that move. Think Sane is worth the risk. Spurs looked out of sorts and Eriksen looked sluggish. I have Harry and think one spur is enough for now and will likely bring in Alli later if I want to double up as he is due a goal spree.

Since Christmas and Pep's rotation around the corner, I think everyone is looking to have a flexible bench now. So, most of us have 443 or 353 with one of them playable and benchable player like Brighton defense or RLC.
What are your thoughts?
My thought is there has been no settled template yet this season and the game is better for it, even if I'm not personally seeing the upside so far.
I don’t think there really is a template this year. Salah, Jones, Burnley defense, Richarlison, Elliott, and Kane are very popular and maybe a few others. But after that there is a lot of variety and even formation wise it varies. The year has gone from the year of the wingback with 4 at the back to 3 heavies up top to 5 in midfield. Will probably change again in a week or two.
Is Dann a good shout? Is he still the goal threat he used to be?
Goal threat still same.Not sure CP will keep cleanie.

I am suprised not to see Christiansen in any wildcard teams. He would be high on my list. He had a great game and I believe that he is now set to be a permanent fixture in that back line. Luiz looks unlikely to return any time soon and if he does it looks likely to be for Cahill.

From GW 14 until GW27 (14 games) Chelsea play a top 6 club only once, Arsenal away. 8 home fixtures, 7 of which are against current bottom half clubs. And the other one is Brighton.

Azpi looks great value given his relationship with Morata. Christiansen is one to monitor.

Likely Courtois for me as cheaper way into Chelsea defense and there are plenty of cheapish options for 4.5m defenders elsewhere.
