Continuing our round-up of the Christmas period, it’s time to treat our members to a series of articles which examines each of the positions and analyses the form of the key protagonists over the past four Gameweeks. We start in defence, by casting an eye over the top tens for our ICT Index, plus a more in-depth look at the main performers in terms of goal threat and creativity….
Who the hell would I bench from
Mata, bale, fellani, Michu, Walcott
RVP, Suarez, lambert??
I assume Walcott, Suarez or Michu!????Open ControlsMichu

Need to know if Clyne is playing.....Open ControlsAs I bought Suarez back in gw15 for 10.4m, I can sell him in my wildcard and lose lose any money. Make sense with his fixtures?
Open Controlsalright, finally done with my wc, barring any injury news
bego
luiz, zabaleta, sagna
mata, walcott, bale, fellaini
rvp, suarez, ba
bench: rudd, demel, davies, marveaux
will upgrade rudd and marveaux to players who get gametime after i downgrade sagna after his dgw.Open ControlsLooks pretty damn good to me!! Similar to what I'm affter but I'm guessing your team is higher than mine...
At the risk of sounding like a stalker, how have you got on this season? I noticed a few months ago that you were one of the few people that had the same defence as me (Ivan, Baines, Rafael I think) and just wondered if you still had a lot of money tied up or spread it around like I eventually decided to (not very successfully mind you!)Open Controlsit's been up and down, but been good recently. im in top 14k now. i've spread my cash a lot now as you can see.

Final question before I go:
Is Joe Cole a definite starter for West Ham, or will he just be a bit-part player?Open ControlsHard to say after one game. I think he will start more often than not.
Open Controls
Options for a hit:
a) Taarabt -> Ramires
b) Defoe -> Ba
c) Poldi -> Ba and than do Defoe->Poldi next GW
BTW I'm doing WC next GW.Open ControlsI don't really want to go for a hit. But I wanted some opinions.
Open Controls
Thoughts on this WC team Gents?
Bego - Turnbull
Sagna - Azpi - Clyne - Wilson - Demel
Mata - Walcott - Michu - Fellaini - Puncheon
RVP - Suarez - LambertOpen ControlsNice. I would still go with Berba over Lambert. And Wilson can wait cople of weeks more.
Open Controlstoo much saints imo.
Open Controlsyes but you have to bench one of ruiz/puncheon
Open Controls
isnt wilson out? Is it stokes wilson?
Open Controls
Anyone else thinking about going with Benteke in their WC? Naile on, decent fixtures, on pens and cheap.
Open ControlsI'm probably gonna use one of 1 WC for the upcoming DGW's (I currently have 2). Does this team look ok for the two weeks?
Jussi Turnbull
Luiz Shaw Gibbs Demel Cameron
Mata Puncheon Walcott Nolan Bale
Lambert RVP Berb
3.5m to get 1 more Arsenal in after the first week.Open ControlsAway from rate my bloody wildcard...who is my avatar pic answers on a post card if you dont have one just leave a comment...
Open ControlsPaddy McCourt, whoever he is.
Open ControlsGood shot TorresMagic...tis indeed the Derry Pele Paddy McCourt.
Open ControlsNo idea who he is tbh. Rarely watch Celtic.

Over the next several weeks-
A) Luiz, Gibbs & Fellaini
B) Azpilicueta, 4.1 defender (possibly Norwich) & MataOpen ControlsCan't really believe the lack of Baines in these WC teams. Stats that blow your mind, Fixtures are perfect and he blew up in his last outing.
Seems that people have seen the DGWs and gone a bit nuts over them.Open ControlsCan't believe? Would you be saying this if he hadn't just scored a screamer of a free kick? Yes he's a great asset but he's 7.5m! I'd be more inclined to go for Distin or Jagielka and save the money for those good fixtures.
The stats are great for Baines, no-one doubts that. He plays practically left winger most games. But has that seen consistent enough returns for his price tag? No. And has his team kept enough clean sheets to justify it? No.Open ControlsThe lack of clean sheets is a plus point. They will improve. Everton historically improve as the season goes. The fixtures are just so good short term.
Open ControlsThat is a nonsensical argument. The lack of clean sheets isn't a 'plus point'. It's a sign that they have been practically incapable of keeping goals out. Is it a plus point for Fulham, for instance, that they haven't kept a CS in 7 games? No, it's a sign that they're unreliable and dodgy at the back.
Everton do historically 'improve' over the second half of the season but that's when they have had their usual poor start which they were renowned for. This season it's been the opposite, if anything you would say they are due a slump in form as they've only lost 3 games all season! Really baffles me these silly theories people come up with to back up their choices.
I don't deny Everton's fixtures are great and I would love to own Baines. But saying they are 'due' a few CS is a bit of a nonsense. No-one is due a run of clean sheets!Open ControlsBookmark if you like but Everton will end up with 8ish CS for the season. Down from previous season (12 last) but 6 in 17 games for Baines with attacking returns I would like to own.
Open Controls
I can't believe you're being influenced by his stats. He's had great stats the whole season from what I've heard.
Open ControlsI'm not but oppositely, you can't ignore them either
Open Controls
"Stats that blow your mind"...I know what you mean...
4.1 points per game for £7.5m are stats that you just can't ignore huh? And Puncheon's been firing in goals left, right and center too so it's a win-win situation for you.
Or did you see different stats?Open ControlsAverage position,
Chances created
Touches in final third
Chances
etc
4.1 points with only two clean sheets as a defender. I see upside from that statOpen Controls
Those WCing this week - how many DGWers you going for? I'm on 4 this week (3 CHE, 1 SOT) and will have 5 next week (3 ARS, 2 WHU)
Open Controls4 and 4.
Open Controls6 & 6 ftw.
Open Controls6 and 5/6
Open ControlsThis week: Mata/Luiz/Punch for sure. Maybe Ba or Azpilicueta, maybe Clyne, not a lot of 4 million defenders out there.
Next week: Walcott/Demel/Szcz for sure, maybe Nolan.
So maybe just 3 and 3.Open Controls
Azpil & Bale or Ivan & Lennon. Prefer the former but is the latter more nailed on?
Open ControlsHi All,
First time poster (Be gentle)
Wasnt planning on using my WC but injuries and 2DGWs have forced my hand. I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on which would be the better of these 2 possible WC teams please:
A)
Jussi/Turnbull Azipilicueta\Sagna\Davies\Gibbs\Demel Michu\Mata\Bale\Walcott\Fellaini RVP/Berbatov/Dzeko
B)
or same team expect Dzeko > Ba and Azipilicueta> Cuellar (if not fit a similar priced DEF)
CheersOpen ControlsB IMO. Not keen on this doubling up on CHE def and I'd rather had Ba then Dzeko at this moment.
Open Controls
Everton scores and Arsenal concedes.

I see a lot of people using their WC to set up both DGWs. Isn't it more logical to take 1-2 hits for the Chelsea DGW then WC for the Arsenal DGW?
Open Controlsare you able to explain why you think it's better to take hits so you can delay your WC for one week?
Open ControlsI think WCing now to prep for two DGWs leaves you stuck with too many players from the same four teams, one of which have major rotation issues. By WCing after GW22, you only have to phase out Ars and WHU players.
I already have Mata, Punch, Walcott and Jussi. I'm thinking of a hit to get Cashley and Torres in for Enrique and Suarez. Then WC, get rid of Cashley and Torres, get Suarez back, probably get Gibbs and another Arsenal player, and then really the only player I'd have to phase out is the additional Arsenal player (baring injuries, etc) (I need to tidy up my defence too).
Maybe it only seems more logical in my head, I suppose you could work out the hits in both scenarios to know for sure...Open Controlsyou make fair points but if you're not too aggressive with the number of DGW players you go for I think you can do your WC now if you want too...of course the world is split into people with and without Chelsea players and I don't have any...also I have 2 WC's so I'm going for it now
in my opinion so long as you go easy on Saints players you should be OK afterwards...you can do a Bale or Hazard to Cazorla switch in the middle if you want and that helps a lot
of course the DGW players may flop but you can say that about any players any week...but if you take hits and then they flop you'll be sickOpen Controls
Quick one:
Who to replace Tevez for a hit?
a)Ba
b)Lambert
c)Keep Tevez and play Walcott.
Obviously Ba is a better player, but I am worried about the Rafatation.Open Controlsaqguerro out - keep tevez in.
Open Controls
Right I'm switching sites pressing the button then going to bed night all.
Open ControlsI think not.
Open Controls
CRITICAL question:
Will Luiz double rise before next GW? One rise looks certainOpen ControlsProbably.
Open Controls
Will Tevez drop again before the next deadline ?
Open ControlsVery likely.
Open Controls
B) Mata + Azpil
or
B) Lampard + Ivanovic?
Unfortuntely I can't have both Mata and IvanovicOpen Controlsplease rate my wc team
begovic (cerny)
zabaleta, r. martin, demel (shaw, wilkinson)
bale, mata, michu, fellaini ( puncheon)
rvp, suarez, ba
dont need another keeper coz im playing bego wholeseason. also, who to sub out for puncheon? i want him on field forthe dgw, but i dont know who to bench. leaning towards fellaini.Open Controls

Guys I know Mertesacker was ill but is there any chance he's actually dropped? Or any credible chat about it?
