In the two years leading up to Hulls arrival to the PL, Chester had back-to-back 44 game seasons for the club.

Since coming to the PL he's played every game, unless injured... Safe to say he's a fixture of that back line.

Lol at everyone doing early transfers, so many hits are going to be taken this round when players get injured in training/on international duty, i can feel it, or better still late Wildcards before the gameweek begin.

Yup - focus on players that score. Those that rise often fail soon after. Get the best players and it evens out. To go sniffing around for risers for risers sake is a recipe for failure.

price rises are worth missing for point hits safety for me, and only rooney and jovetic like to drop for me but that takes -10% ownership from what I know.

Not quite that many, but Ivanovic is way ahead! Sideways moves feel so counterproductive, but I can't see Ivanovic's points drying up anytime soon.

20 people liked this post yesterday, so I thought I'd continue this for today's results. Enjoy!

    My new weekly ponder!

    1) Ivanovic is getting hard to ignore. They said he wasn't nailed on when Luis arrived. They were wrong. In my eyes, he is now THE most nailed on Chelsea defender, having produced attacking returns in each of the first 3 matches. Incredible. He seems to have found a consistency and familiarity in attack this season under Jose and I'm sure more attacking points will be on the cards. Sensational. Costa's arrival seems to have helped his crosses be given the points they deserve, after last season I had Ivan for so long and when I watched his matches his attacking play was always questionable and slightly uncontrolled. Meanwhile, we're all wondering why we went with Gary Cahill. Cahill for Ivan anyone? Do spare a thought for little old Filipe on the bench though...

    2) Clyne is getting hard to ignore. His attacks have resulted in a goal and assist already and has some prosperous fixtures on the horizon to say the VERY LEAST. Schniederlin is one to monitor meanwhile for sure. We do all love a defender with great fixtures, with clean sheet potential and a goal or assist in them too. Blissssssssss.

    3) I captained SIGGY and it worked. Wow. What a change. From less than guaranteed starts with Spurs to the main man at a familiar Swansea- you always knew this was home and for us this is the perfect combination. Hard to overlook at the moment but I'm just happy that my double hit to get him in paid off with that armband I put around him. In effect he wears that armband for Swansea in attack week in week out. Dyer meanwhile has just been found in many a watchlist...this season is turning into the battle of the D I/Y ERS.

    4) Naismith will keep plugging away. I went for Jovetic this week as part of my double hit, but went for Jovetic instead. Never mind. The feisty Scotsman is in a hot run of form right now and Arguably, it is Lukaku's place in the team that looks in doubt after Eto'o's arrival (never had to use two apostrophes like that before!). Naismith is guaranteed to start now.

    5) go Diego go! Chelsea have found their man. Enough said. With Hazard, Willian, Fabregas, Oscar, Matic and Ramires behind him, it is not amazing that he has scored 4 in 3 games. I'm not going to mention those who transferred him out, but it must hurt!

    6) Stoke. How? No honestly how? They can't keep a clean sheet against a 10 man Hull or Villa, but when City turn up with arguably their BEST 11 (in my eyes, maybe not now!) they do a blinder. Shawcross was immense! Wilson, who the Stoke fans have ridiculed this season, put in a blinder! That's how you play City, Liverpool! Meanwhile, Bojan was never gonna get a chance today!

    7) What else now? Ooh yes, United. Daley Blind and Rojo couldn't come soon enough, but let's face it, top four is gonna take at least another season. Anyone who watched today would be amazed at how United kept a clean sheet. Shaky on the ball, De Gea screaming all the time, not moving one inch when the ball hit his crossbar, Evans losing possession, Blackett passing to the wrong side. We'll done Phil though, repaying your owners. As for their attack, clueless. Di Maria must be thinking: "what the hell am I doing here". Now Mata is injured, Rooney owners will be twiddling their thumbs, especially if Sturridge or Balotelli out in a performance tomorrow.

    8) Lamela is not a man for the big occasions while Adebayor is too inconsistent. Lamela ended up on 0 BPs and Adebayor got -6 somehow. Lamela definitely seems to become lost in the big matches when his team is not playing well, but there is no doubt that he is a joy to watch in an easy fixture. We saw this against QPR last week. Meanwhile, the big man up front is a constant hassle and has been so for years. There's no telling what he'll do.

    9) Sterling was a star today. He seems to love that central role, but I have to say that wherever he'll play, he will be involved. His World Cup form has been carried into the campaign, and the pacy player has a once run of fixtures now. This kid is a star. Wonderful to watch, he leaves players in his wake. Must have for me because he is Liverpools attacking outlet and no one can get near him.

Anyway, hope you had fun reading that. Don't forget, these are my views, I know some of you will disagree but what can you do?

Spot on re: Sterling. The kid is absolutely amazing. Kept an eye on him when he played in our youth teams under former managers, but Brendan is the right man to get the best out of him. The run today that beat 3 of their back 4 was ridiculous (poor finish tho!)

With our fixtures, I'll be dumping Mata for Sterling. It means doubling-up with Henderson, but he's great value at 6.0 too in my opinion.

Like I said last night, Manq Lovren Sakho Moreno will be out best back 4. We were shaky at the back in the first half but much more solid in the second. Moreno was absolute fire today. Don't know what was shown on the tele but he bombed down the left flank every time we attacked. 5.5, differential perhaps?

Sakho looked a liability for a good hour. Only when we were comfortable, did he look more comfortable. Plus Rogers had to play Lovren on his 'wrong' side to accommodate him.

Skrtel & Lovren will be first choice.

When Cameron and Huth return, how will Stoke's defence line-up?

Bardsley - Shawcross - Wilson - Pieters currently. Wilson to make way?

Hughes really likes Wilson. I think that'll be the back 4 for the forseeable future.

Wilson is very versatile, which is worth mentioning. Hughes has played him at RB and CM before.
Stoke just kept a CS at the Etihad so I doubt Hughes will change a winning formula, but surely Huth will slot into the back-four at some stage?

He's well worth 4.5M for now IMO. Just make sure u have some reasonable bench players just in case, eg Hutton/wisdom

I do. Cheers mate I think I'll follow through with it and bring Wilson in after the international break.

Huth has already returned. He was on the bench yesterday. Out of favour atm.

Wow. Cheers POP I never even knew that. He missed half of last season with an injury, with Wilson filling in. Thought he would have come in for Wilson after returning to full fitness.

If you are doing 3 transfers tonight, i expect it will mean about 0.7-1.0m difference in TV.

I'm thinking its justified but could of course go wrong with injuries..

Too soon for wildcards? Would like to change out my defense and gks.

De Gea and Myhill -> Krul Guzan
Debuchy, Bruce, Caulker, Davies, Cameron -> Ivanovic, Dummett, Shawcross, Clyne, Duff, Hutton

Maybe wait one more week then do something similar? Can do Debuchy for Ivanovic this week.

No point of waiting one more week, you may as well do it now as it's 2 weeks till next deadline
