With a single goal in his last six league appearances, Alexis Sanchez’s debut season in the Premier League seems in danger of grinding to a halt. After serving up 12 strikes and seven assists in the opening 21 Gameweeks, the Chilean’s displays made him a must-have for Fantasy managers but, in spite of Arsenal’s late surge up the table, his recent output has been minimal.

There’s no disputing the fact that Sanchez’ downturn has coincided with the return to action of Mesut Ozil. The German has started each of the last seven Gameweeks and managed two goals and five assists over that period, whilst Olivier Giroud has developed a source of consistency which has harvested six strikes and a trio of assists in his previous eight outings.

Despite his price of 11.4 in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, Sanchez is still the third most popular midfielder – only Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling currently sit in more sides. With some of his 30% ownership starting to scour the market for alternatives, we delve into the data to asses his displays over the two time frames in order to ascertain just what has gone wrong.

        Was just so let down, acting was subpar, the premise had so much potential and there were some good parts. I can't even remember the least good movie Scott's made, guess The Grey was a decent one. Hopefully Prometheus 2 delivers

    Why Arsenal DGW is unlikely to be GW34.........

    Arsenal are already playing in GW34 on Sunday 26th, so if they are playing midweek that week for the DGW34 it will have to be on Wednesday 29th. This is the date Chelsea are playing Leicester live on Sky.

    Villa vs QPR, originally for GW33 and was due to be live on Sky has been re-arranged for GW31, and the PL has confirmed this match is no longer on Sky.

    What that means is that Sky now has one extra game to show - I'm pretty sure they won't be able to show any "regular" games as an extra match due to how the schedules work, so it will have to be one of the re-arranged matches. We know it isn't Villa vs QPR, so the only match it can be is Arsenal vs Sunderland, and if that match is on telly, it can't be in GW34.......

    The only other "extra" match Sky could show is Hull vs Liverpool if that needs to be rearranged from GW33 if Liverpool beat Blackburn - but because of the late dated replay between the two, if Liverpool don't go through it will be too late for any other matches to be arranged to be shown live if Arsenal fixture is moved to 29th April.......

    So there - conclusive proof (not) that Arsenal DGW won't be GW34!!! Suggest Sky would most likely want it to be GW37, but GW31 second favourite

            Not really. It depends on his team, how many FT he has, who he's considering transferring out, how much he has in the bank etc. Sure, you might say Bellerin is a better prospect than Caz, but then he might be considering unneccessarily selling a good defender to get him in. Or he might be overlooking a better non-Arsenal option like Toby.

            I just think you can only fairly answer the q when you can see somebody's team and have all the information

        Little tempted by Ospina because I don't own Arsenal defender ... on the other hand I own Liverpool and Swansea defender so with Mignolet or Fabianski it would also be doubling up like Saints 🙂

    Just read about surgery for Tompkins. As a Zouma owner, I am looking to offload. Collins at 4.4 is looking the best option for this week and over the next 6 with 4 of them against the bottom 4 clubs.

    Agreed or is there a better shout? Cant be Naughton, already have Fabianski, Siggy and Cork.

      Positives: Great player and on pens

      Negatives: Rotation risk and points seem to be spread across Arsenal midfield so hard to predict who gets the haul.
