GJ Baines Gibbs Gallas Wilson. That defense is perfect. Literally I am set till the winter WC and even more. Always great choices to play someone and all of them good value. I believe this season investing in defense is the right call.

I'm bizarrely tempted to downgrade RvP => Rooney in order to be able to do Michu => Mata.
It all depends of course on whether Rooney will play deeper if van Persie's on the pitch. Chris Glover said a couple of weeks ago on his blog that Rooney would "simply be unownable for the rest of the season" due to the danger of him becoming an £11.7 reverse OOP midfielder. Bu then again Rooney is £1.7m cheaper than RvP and has scored well in the last two gameweeks.

These plum home games are great for Rooney as Man Utd can run riot but not so much with away games where they need to be clinical and tighten up...which brings RVP clinical scores when he wants in to play.

Rooney drops deep but he's all over the pitch nearly all the time, its the way he seems to like to play. He's like the mate who hogged the ball, who never passed it and scored all the goals. An out and out glory hunter he is. He will still rack up consistantly good scores, He has that knack of knowing where to be and when to be there, especially in a United shirt
