Better late than never, our ninety seventh episode of the ScoutCast delivers another 45 minutes of mirth, plus injury time.

With the Professor otherwise engaged, it’s left to Jonty to provide backup to myself and Granville, arriving to deliver another “Fully Jonty” – the first to feature a community victim.

Doosra’s Fantasy fortunes come under the microscope, revealing a penchant for bandwagons and knee jerk transfers. Nevertheless, we try to go easy on the experienced campaigner, rounding things off with the extraordinary tale of the Doosra rescuing Jonty’s dog. True story.

That treat rounds off an episode that includes all the usual regulars, including our rinse through the forthcoming double Gameweek which Granville insists on placing within inverted commas: the weirdo.

    If Suarez scores by Sturridge assist with a Michu equaliser (plus Davies) I'd happily take my extra 35 points

        my issue is that i also need to chose a keeper between mingolet and fed - if i choose giroud i kind of have to chose fed, and then if arsenal does badly i have all my eggs in one basket.

    so i'm thinking of getting aguero in for suarez after the dgw. the other issue is, i was planning to buy back azpilicueta for enrique, but not so sure now. what do you think? i've got 0.5 in the bank.

        I think, it also helps that he doesn't play in GW 29, and if you did either of the other 2, you'd have to bench, and then probably sell soon after anyway.

            That's true. They are really great fixtures, and i suppose benching him this week isn't likely to hurt that much. It would be A or C for me but even though i bought GJ, i'm not too confident of them getting CS's whereas Gerrard could explode and i'm worried i don't have him.

    TW, you know I'm sold on your thoughts on captaincy between Studge and Suarez, but was musing about someone last page mentioning Michu(c). With his ownership so high, does this present an issue in the same vein in your mind? His form would suggest Suarez is the clear pick, but now I'm starting to rethink it just a bit.

      i think many more will captain suarez and many more are getting suarez in than michu. not to mention that suarez i think has the capability to score a lot more than michu does.

      that and i think michu is dropping off. sold him gw 20 for walcott and haven't regretted it since.

      plus swansea have fixtures that could be a bit tricky. qpr have been pretty tough to beat defensively and pool can be pretty tight at the back when they're at home.

    Hey guys which option do you think has the most upside. Really wanna make a pust for top 100 if thats still possible from my current position. Current team is :

    Begovic

    Azpilicueta, Enrique, Davies,

    Bale, Mata, Walcott, Michu, Fellaini

    RVP, Sturridge

    Federici, Lambert, Harte, Demel

    1) Bale -> Gerrard and then the reverse move next week. ( problems with this are I'll have 5 DGW players but will not be able to field 11 in GW27 without a hit)

    2) Begovic -> Reina ( I'll be able to field 11 in GW27 but will prob have to ride Reina for a long time

    3) RVP-> Suarez ( Will suffer the same problem as option 1)

    4) Save my FT this week and then over the next 2 Gws do: RVP, Lambert, Michu --> Rooney, Aguero, Sissoko

    Sorry for the long post but any input will be most welcome.

    did anyone check PPI for suarez/sturidge for the last few games to try and estimate who has better chances for BAPs? this might be a big factor in captain selections - from memory suarez has quite a few shots of target every game and is not great with BAPS (unless he scores a few).

      The only pattern to BP's really is when they're already scoring points for goals and assists. There really is no point in attempting to predict them.

          Well it's clear that Suarez doesn't have the best strike rate and his PPI suffers for it, but he is still scoring goals and bringing in points through the sheer number of chances he gets.

    Morning all, anyone have any info on Demel and Guthrie in terms of why they didn’t play last week? Inured/rested/dropped/back this week? I’m still in the cup but I would probably need to bring in 2 more Liverpool to have a chance against my opponent. Unfortunately with those two plonkers in my squad, that would leave me with 7 outfield players likely to be not playing next week and only one free transfer to fix it!

    I can live with a -4 next week, but I wouldn’t entertain any more than that, so if they’re both unlikely to play, I’ll bow out of the cup at this respectable stage to ensure I don’t gamble with my main mini league.

    Federici,Begovic
    Davies,Clyne,Fabio,Evra,Demel
    Gerrard,Michu,Mata,Walcott,Fellaini
    Pogrebnyak,Van Persie,Fletcher

    1 FT and 0.3 in the bank...

    Is it worth a hit to do:
    Fellaini to Sissoko
    and
    Fletcher to Sturridge
    ??

    or any other ideas to get Sturridge in the team for a hit?

      For what its worth I would get Sturridge and wait on Sissoko. You may regret not having any Liverpool strikers imo.

            Save the transfer then and spend it next week when most of us only have 10 players. You'll make the points back. 3 DGW players is enough.
