KPI Analysis – Robin Van Persie

A fortnight ago, we rolled out a Preview Movie of the latest addition to our Members Area – the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tables. Essentially, these track the frequency of certain key statistics that can help Fantasy managers identify a player’s form – whether it be a turn for the good or worse – over a Gameweek range or season. With this in mind, our first KPI focused members article looks at Robin Van Persie’s first season at United compared to his final year leading the line for Arsenal.

By tracking Van Persie’s frequency of key stats, Fantasy managers can begin to quantify and identify the exact areas of the Dutchman’s game that have altered since his move to Old Trafford last summer as they prepare potential investment for the season ahead.

There's quite a few potentially well handicapped runners here - Sturridge/Rooney/Dzeko or even possibly Cisse leap off the page, but I think I'll have 50p e/w on Giroud. Seemingly, he's performed much better in his second season at his previous clubs and if Arsenal don't buy a class striker soon he may very well do the same again.

  personally i dont mind the team.
  
  Your 2 main backs are decent choices (Cole for DGW??) Kosc ?? (i'd rather Mert).
  clyne and collins to rotate.
  
  your 5 mids are great, all should play a majority of games, but it has no flexibility.
  what if any are rested? then you'd have to rely on a cheap fwd from a bottom side.
  
  speaking of cheap fwd, Gayle is a good choice.
  i dont see Palace staying up but he'll score goals. Will he score enough points to cover an injured fwd/mid??
  
  Lukaku (only in for DGW yeah??) is a great choice for DGW, is he a keeper??
  Dzeko is a solid choice and it's looking like he might be a huge bargain if what Pellegrini says is true. If Dzeko can be the main strikefore for City playing a majority of games he could bring in a huge number of points and @ 7.5, again a BARGAIN.

        Yes, either Ivan or Cole. Forwards are difficult for me ATM, currently looking at Lukaku, Dzeko and JRod as I will need the cash for RVP, but still unsure about Dzeko.

  Dzeko - Just not convinced by him yet, possible bandwagon
  
  I'd downgrade coleman to collins, that'd give you some westham cover over the good fixtures and your 0.5 to get baines.
  
  dzeko could be ok but I'm not convinced enough to get him in my team yet. I have anelka at the moment as it could work out and allows me to upgrade my other attack. Dzeko could be good though, just waiting to hear more first

  As a Liverpool fan, I strangely have an attraction to Mirallas as well, so you are not alone.
  Problem I have is that Mourinho appears to play for 1-0's when away from home, so who knows...
  And whilst Kompany is nailed on, I'm not sure if its worth it when City are meant to be going out on the attack.

    You dont think Bony is a better option than Michu ? He already scored 2 goals in europe and is 1 mil cheaper. I think Michu will do well but I think Bony will do equally as well and thus better value.

    yes but none of the teams i've seen posted on here have Benteke and FFS players are better than average at this game, very few have posted RVP either and he has an even higher ownership.

  I believe the thinking is that Lukaku at least will start one of the two games, and may have a sub appearance in the other, and is in form, and is liked by the manager. If his growth continues on from last season, he could be a beast in the making.

Am i mad to double up on Chelsea defence GW1?? I'm thinking Azpilicueta & either Cech or Ivanovic, plus Hazard in mid.
Much more predictable starts. God only konws who the Special Case will through out up front.

  Cole looks the only one of the back 4 nailed on for booth DGW games. Even with him and Cech there's a , slight, chance they'd concede in one or booth games. Get Hazard and Lukaku.
