Sky Sports Analysis – Goalkeeper Bonus Save Points

As mentioned in a previous article, there’s been a handful of new rules introduced to the Sky Sports Fantasy game this season. One of the most welcome additions is the move to reward goalkeepers with bonus points – stoppers will now receive two extra points if they make five or more saves in a match, thus boosting their appeal and forcing us to reassess their worth in the season ahead.

The Sky Sports table for Goalkeepers in the Members Area now includes the bonus points from saves that would have been accrued for the past two seasons. In this evening’s article for Members, we’ve analysed these numbers in full, assessing the impact the new bonus system is likely to have on our Sky Sports selections.

  I'd also build a team without him, so you have something in mind.
  
  I'd find 0.5m more to get Miralles over Nolan, especially with Carroll not ready.

So... after lurking all summer

The best approach is Mignolet in goal, 4m keeper.

Three 4m defenders, two 5m ish defenders.

Then either one cheap mid, or striker, depending on the formation you prefer, 3-4-3 or 3-5-2.

Then spend the most of your money on the attacking players.

This game is simple.

  I'd say the other way around.
  
  As historically fwds have scored more than mids who have scored more than defs;
  
  Put your best up front, followed by mids, leaving enough for a decent backline.
  
  Wouldn't say Mig in goal at all. He hasn't played a league game yet. Could be total tish.

Hi all this is my first time playing. I played for a couple of weeks last year but didn't get the chance to follow through due to having kids and forgetting GW's etc. I know RMT's can get annoying but looking for some help? Looking to play 3-5-2

        Shaw was withdrawn for the final 10 minutes, but appeared fine as he came off the pitch to be replaced by Danny Fox despite having sustained a knock in a challenge with Castro a couple of minutes earlier.

Starting to feel quite happy about my team now. But atm i can't squeeze out the extra 0, 5 for cole, could do a 4, 0 keeper, but i prefer two starters really.So i went with Dave, do you think he's nailed on? Im thinking ivanovic will mostly play in the centre, so should be possible azpi will be a regular, dont't you think? see now that i posted on an old article, so sorry for repost:

I'm not even convinced Bale is going to leave any-more. Is there a more stubborn chairman in the world than Daniel Levy?

If they keep Bale this year, then Champions League must surely be on the cards next season. How can you put a price on that?

    He doesn't guarantee CL football. Didn't last season and he was playing consistently above his usual level.
    
    However 3/4 quality players with the Bale money could easily get CL.

      Just saying I read this and some argue he is worth more to Tottenham because he is such a central part of their lineup and in turn, their aspirations for the season ahead.
