The Big Numbers – Gameweek 22

After last night’s draw at the Hawthorns brought the curtain down on another Gameweek, we delve into the data for our first Members article of the week. Everton’s Belgian duo, a couple of Newcastle’s Frenchmen, City’s enigmatic left-back and Norwich’s attacking display are amongst the topics analysed this time around:

Pretty nice team. I'd wanna make a midfield switch. Maybe Ozil to Yaya? Witt/Ki to Januzaj/Sterling/Mutch?

      Maybe try getting in Aguero/Sturridge?

For next gw's wc, I'm due to make 3 transfers.

    4.0 > Kelvin Davis
    Mert > Azpil
    JWP > Noone

Am I missing something? If my team is *that* good, why am I doing so averagely?

    Current team:

    Mannone 4.0
    Mert // Kos // Chester // Ward // Burner
    Haz // Yaya // Silva // Cabaye // JWP
    Suarez // Aguero // Sturridge

    Cheers

Yeah.... your team really is quite good.
I would avoid getting Kelvin Davis. You really need to be able to rotate keepers IMO. I went with Mig and Davis this year and it was a big mistake. Migs and Boruc for 0.5 would've been amazing.

There are so many keepers for under 5 mil, I dunno why you'd want Davis TBH.

It's starting to look like Kolarov is first choice

Kind want a long lay off for Coleman to justify selling.

The question really is how essential is City defence for the price you have to pay to get a nailed on route?

They are not tight enough at the back imo to consider bringing in. Would prefer to get lads from Everton, Arsenal, Chelsea as first 2 or 3 defenders in front of a couple cheap rotating men over any City options - too reliant on attacking returns.

Kol isn't 100% nailed. Always a chance of him being rotated. He does offer nice attacking potential though and they will continue to keep CS's.

      Kolarov - essential

A defender from the best team who can't help attacking , all wrapped up in a cheap price

After the Aguero , Suarez would be the next name on my teamsheet

If no space, keep AJ and switch to Januzaj after the double rise. Always better to bank a 0.1 rise and reinvest it.

Would wait for the double rise and reassess later. He will absolutely rise again so you will either be trading in for the same value they are now since each rise will equate to an even swap to if you do it now. If you choose not to, then you gain the .1 from AJ.

A couple of weeks back I loled at my ML leader for getting Navas as he wasn't nailed, then he didn't start at Newcastle. Then Nasri got injured and he's nailed.

This week I was discussing which of his big hitters he'd have to sacrifce on wc for Kun as along with Suarez he had

Hazard, Mert, Zaba and Coleman and he paid 6.5 for Coleman

Then BOOM Coleman gets injured. Meanwhile I've been taking hits all season just to cope with injuries

    This season 😆

      Sturridge perhaps

Presuming you have Suarez and don't have Gerrard

    @ Walsh and Leaf

You misunderstand me. I'm a well known Kolarov lover, heck my FPL team is named after him, but as it stands my wc defence will be

    Kos, Terry, Coleman, Ward, Bruce

Having paid 5.0 for Coleman unless he's out long term I'd be inclined to keep as I couldn't afford to get him back. So as you can see there is just no room for Kolarov right now

No I took a hit to bring in Aguero for Negredo, funded by Ozil to Cabaye.

    Interesting bets for tonight:

    1)Man City half time/fulltime 11/10
    2)Man city by 3 or more 9/4
    3)Navas to score 11/4
4)Man city to win both halves 2/1
5)First half two or more goals 1/1

Did they watch the first leg? 😀
I've put a tenner on 1,3 and 4. Anyone else betting tonight?

I've just seen Lukaku's 'assist' from another two angles to last night and there is no way he touched the ball. Decisions like that can lose people their mini leagues. Absolute farce !!!
