Sunday has a lot to live up to and, from a Fantasy perspective, it looks to be little more than a scouting mission.

None of today’s four participants have a double fixture in the Gameweek, meaning that, in Fantasy Premier League terms, they’ll be few assets on show that will influence our Gameweek tallies.

Even so, Tottenham’s White Hart Lane encounter with Southampton should tell us plenty about the remaining prospects of their players over the run-in. Similarly, Aston Villa go into their home meeting with Stoke looking for a third consecutive win, with Christian Benteke certainly up for consideration as an end of season differential.

  So many players come good in their second season that he I really hope we don't sell him. He doesn't have time on his side but it looks to me as though his problems in front of goal this year have been mental not technical. A few good games and goals and he could break through for sure.

      My only concern is that he doesn't look at all suited to a 4-2-3-1 where you have two traditional wingers such as Lennon and Townsend. He either seems to play well with a striker partner or with 'inside forwards' who can play closer to him.

        I wouldn't get carried away, we thought we'd turned the corner v Villa and then v Cardiff and some of his performances since then alongside Eriksen have been dire. We need more than just Eriksen tucking in - Eriksen has days when he drifts out of games as well.
        
        Mind you if Ade stays in the mood come August it will be a nice problem to have.

    My Arsenal-supporting mate was saying the same thing to me last night. Some players need the first season to get up to speed and adapt to the different style of play etc. (although I did point out that Giroud has been shit at times this season too 😉 )

        He's still been shit though. In fact, he's only scored 1 goal more than last season in the PL and has played nearly 100 more minutes. 12 goals, 7 assists from a guy who has played the vast majority of Arsenal's games this season isn't really up to snuff at all.

Taking FPL too seriously: what's the worst example you've done or witnessed?

Earlier this year I spent 5 hours in the Indian desert on the worst wifi connection you've ever seen to analyse and make 4 changes for -12. It was the equivalent of about 30 mins on a normal connection. It turned by season around and set off a chain of events which hopefully sees me top 100 but my wife wasn't delighted.

  I've said this before, but when I was at Sheffield uni I was fortunate enough to enjoy the Walker, Britton and Naughton era at the Blades. Only one of those players was any good for us in the Champ. The other two were just awful. How Britton transformed I will never know, but Naughton is still the same terrible player he always was.

Fecking Lallana will push the average even higher. Really hard to get a green arrow this week. I barely scraped one with 90 points last night.

Wish the FPL discovery site would do a top 100k average, would be a better representative sample of active players and a more realistic benchmark than the top 10k for those of us cut adrift.
