Gently does it. Granville and I ease ourselves into the season with another thirty-minute bite-size podcast, gradually building up our fitness before we go full tilt next month.

Yes, it’s just the pair of us again, cuddling up in our intimate studio to discuss the events of Gameweek one, whilst casting one eye on the fixtures and events to come this weekend.

We get through the usual array of regulars, with Granville explaining how a wedding and a bout of childcare threatened to ruin his campaign, just as it gets out of the blocks. We reach out to all those Siggy benchers, whilst picking the bones out United’s limp corpse following their opening day defeat. We then chat Fabregas vs Hazard, Ivanovic vs the rest (they’re going to run and run) and sing Ultimate’s praises for helping the previously unloved play their part in our Fantasy seasons.

      Young, just looking at his stats from last week and they're not as bad as I thought. I fancy United to fair better against Sunderland than Liverpool against City.

        to be honest I'd probably look to ditch Dzeko when Negredo is fit anyways. Also rumours of other teams interested in Negredo so he may be left out cos he's sodding off somewhere else

    Just to carry on the conversation, getting my girlfriend to play fpl is the best decision I ever made. She's so competitive and now watches games and checks scores for me! My weekends are so much better :p

    She's beating me this year with a score of 80 in the first week and won her first game in the early bird cup! I'm getting a bit scared, couldn't handle her beating me overall.... She'd have to go

        As for Di Maria, we have the money for it. I still think we need another CB.

        Is Evans Jones Smalling and Rojo enough? Quite inexperienced. One more established wing back/ centre back would be great.

          If we could get an established CB I would be all for it, but it seems nobody is available, no use to bring in more young potential. I dont think we need wingbacks though, with Smalling Jones at least usable at RB and Rojo, Shaw at LB.

            I agree that he would be wasted in that formation, that dont mean he wont do a great job. That is not an issue though, as Van Gaal is a great coach and Di Maria is a great player, great players work out no matter what.

      Pel said Augero will come off the bench again this week. So yes he will. But likely only to play 60 mins unless he's on a hat trick so up to you.

    I don't really understand the new price rise/fall system. Is Mata still 9m? And if so will he DEF fall by 4pm Sunday. Because if so, I may transfer him out now for the player I want in next week and just stick that person the bench.

    I don't want to can Mata, but at the same time a price fall will scupper my transfer plans. I really didn't think any player would go DOWN other than for injury/suspension reasons by week 2!!!
