The ScoutCast – Episode 136 – Bangin

Fond of sand dunes and salty air, Granville returns from “avin’ it large” in Ibiza, to join me once again in the ScoutCast studio.

The ageing hedonist and I rinse through the regulars – giving our views on the week’s transfer bandwagons, whilst previewing the weekend and giving a shout-out to those managers blazing trails atop the various Fantasy Football Scout leagues.

Inevitably, we also moan about our Gameweek mishaps, discuss the latest development in the United revolution and surf the waves being generated by the Fantasy Premier League price tweaks.

Drop the beats via this link or “roll another fat one” via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Better chance of a Zaha attacking return than a Chelsea clean sheet imo. Zaha very nearly scored last week. He's always a threat when he's out on the pitch.

I think Man city will score a lot. Ivanovic playing forward was the tactic that won last season there is no way Pellegrini will let that happen again. I think aguero will go where ivanovic plays, there will be a left midfielder like milner watching for ivanovic

I'm looking to do Caulker>Naylor next GW, but with caulker looking certain to drop and naylor on the verge of rising is it wise doing the move now to avoid losing 0.2?

I'd have to play Naylor vs Southampton which is a worse fixture than Caulker vs Stoke.

Shall I pull the trigger or sit tight hoping for no price changes?

No, but, like, this is REALLY the weekend he scores... 🙂 I don't own him, was just making a jest, still think QPR home cleaned last game could well do this weekend against a rubbish attacking team.

Stoke created loads against Leicester though and were unfortunate to lose by all accounts.

I also have Begovic playing this weekend which makes it abit awkward

If I sell caulker it's gonna be 1-0 for QPR with a caulker goal. I hate these decisions. Things looked so much easier earlier before I noticed the price situation on fiso and TFPL, which is admittedly sketchy, but caulker is waaaay in the red and has been for weeks. Many players have risen this week too.

I think I'm gonna do it lads.

                Caulker>naylor. Any last complaints/sense-talking?

I should mention that losing even 0.1 could jeopardize my chance of moving for Baines in gw8.

Currently 0.5itb, then will do Krul>McCarthy (+0.5) caulker>naylor (+0.4) to allow Lovren>Baines (-1.4). I might be able to do Clyne>Bertrand to raise 0.1 in an emergency but it's not ideal and Bert could rise soon too.

I know that caulker will score this weekend but I need to take the long view I think :/

Not really. Planning moves 3 gw's ahead according to fixtures is very sensible IMO. I might be going into too much detail but I see nothing wrong with that really. Preparation can help you avoid taking hits after all.

He has 3 goals through 4 games and has only played 180 minutes. He scores when he wants, avoid him at your peril. One explosion away from everyone on here clamoring to transfer him in and take hits.

    Ramsey -> Di Maria sideways?

    So tempted by

Debuchy Ramsey -> Duff Di Maria this week
    and
Balo Naismith -> Costa Pelle (-4) next week

Only problem is 0.0 ITB after tinkering now, so unless Costa + Pelle doesn't rise (which is unlikely), I can't do the transfers next week.

I've gained 0.1m on Nais and Balo though so just need them to rise once more to get the profit. But also unlikely to happen

Just made the biggest mistake. 🙁

Just did Ward ---> Lovren, as I had 0.6 in the bank to spend. I did it as a panic move, but then as soon as I made the transfer, I remembered that even if Ward did drop tonight (which he 99% won't), my team wouldn't be affected by it, as I bought Ward for 5.0, and he is currently 4.9, so even if he did drop, it wouldn't make any difference. Plus, if Lovren drops tonight, I could've bought him for 0.1 cheaper!

Plus, I'll probably have about 10,000 injuries tomorrow, just to make it even worse. 🙁

Drops don't work the same way as rises. If Ward dropped to 4.8 his selling price would be 4.8.

I guess it all depends on 5th mids vs Pelle/Welbeck especially. Not a bad squad.

I would have to get rid of baines or mirallas and I dont think I can.

What do people think the result between Swansea and Southampton will be?

    Last 2 in Wales have finished 0-0 and 0-1. At St Mary's they've been 1-1 and 0-2.

Would you play Siggy-naylor or Tadic-Clyne?

Naylor offers little compared to Clyne & Siggy is in most sides.

    Yes or no, and why?

No, one more week for Caulker IMO. Ditch after this week regardless

I'd keep Caulker for this week. Maybe do it next week.

which would you rather have till January:

    1. Aguero / Mirallas / PvA

    2. Pelle / Fabregas / Baines

    Rest of team is:

    Forster 4.0
    Clyne N.Taylor *** (Duff Moore)
    Sterling Ramsey Siggy *** (Boyd)
    Rooney Costa ***

Are you in a no transfer until January league?

I am in the same situation.I see aguero getting alot of goals with the upcoming easy fixtures and mirallas is a very good play and they are both not that common.

Any one else got the double saints defense v Siggy problem coming ?
      Clyne Bertrand Moreno Moore Hutton
Which saint to drop if any ?Have Swa looked vulnerable on a particular flank ? leaning towards dropping Clyne because of Berties superior stats, but could still play both.
If a saint goes who to bring in ? Moore or Hutton ? Both could do well and have got me lots of wasted bench points so far

This is giving me a headache…

      Chadli Sterling Silva Ramsey Sig
      Welbeck Naismith Aguero

Who do I bench? I'm honestly leaning towards Silva.

My defense needs some fixing before I potentially wildcard. Just delaying the inevitable. This week should I do Chester to Naylor?

      Bego Krul
      Terry Clyne Chester Coloccini Jones

Don't expect much from Naylor this week. Chester predicted to play so might be a waste. Save FT maybe?

      Is Chambers nailed this week?
