Anyone else bringing Kolarov in for gw19 and making him captain at home to Burnley? I'm hoping Clichy plays the next game so I can do it. Don't have anyone In my team that I'd be happy giving the armband to in the Tot vs Mun game, and just about everyone else in my squad could be prone to rotation/rest.

3 games in 7 days might be too much for Zaba. It's the Clichy/Kolarov pair that interest me in any case. Kolarov would disappear on January WC.

yeah he might play only 2 of those but he was the only one making runs behind the defenders which resulted in first goal and he almost nicked one for himself.
He make like 5 runs in that game.

He looked good on MOTD highlights, for sure. The only reason Id choose Kolarov for the 28th is the guarenteed gametime, which is my biggest concern for my captaincy pick.

now that prices have come and gone (didn't want to be pressured by just a .1m raise, eff that):

    Guzan
    Yun ᴰ Chambers ᴰ Baines ᴰ Hutton ᴰ Moore
    Yaya ᴹ Hazard ᴹ Sanchez ᴹ Downing ᴹ Marney
    Austin ᶠ Bony ᶠ RVP

    Yun + Moore + RVP > Demi + Terry + Giroud (-4)

allows me to cover rest in mid (as surely one of Haz/Sanchez will be rested) by playing 4 in the back

before Liverpool, so not exactly a knee jerk, but Falcao back in the mix definitely shook things up..RVP spent a lot of time wide with Falcao making the central runs..

I watched the highlights again, and watched the front two - worrying how often they ended up running into the same channels. A few times they almost collided with each other. Falcao did tend to stay more central though.

I see, that's interesting. I didn't see the game but RVP's stats, although unspectacular, did seem to hold up. I imagine his upcoming run of fixtures is one of the reasons you bought him in and that isn't going to change soon...

I bought him because I thought he would score in the last two games, was right about Liverpool, but didn't think Falcao would affect him so much as the previous matches where they play (Falcao set up RVP for a goal) they seemed to work well together, but this time around they got in each other's way as Think Tank said

a user of this site, hebrew hammer, wherever he may be - israel i think- has been in the gibraltar national standings for as long as i have i reckon and is now having a very nice season at around 650 OR. been around 4 or 5 seasons a gibraltarite. i finished 2nd twice i think but can't win the bloody thing. won the eritrea league on my only go. then the vatican league the following season but gibraltar is proving a tough nut to crack. hebrew hammer, if you're reading this, you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

as an RVP owner (bought before Liverpool), it's concerning that Falcao back in the mix shook things up noticeably..RVP spent a lot of time wide with Falcao making the central runs and occupying that space..

yeah totally agreed..which was weird as they looked fine earlier in the seaosn (forgot the match, but Falcao assisted RVP)..

it's likely being exacerbated by formation and Di Maria starting could change things up, but doesn't look great

Had a shambles of a GW this week and made some kneejerk transfers. I did Costa + Ameobi -> Silva/Austin (-4).

Siggy has just dropped, which is ok because I haven't lost my profit on him. I am probably going to sell him taking me to a -8 and my options are either:
    -Downing
    -Sterling

Leaning towards Sterling because of how Rodgers has deployed him and his run of games. What do you kind folks think, bearing in mind I'd be on a -8.

    Foster/ Jakupovic
    Clyne/Wisdom/Moore/Azpi/Dummett/
    Fabz/Sanchez/Siggy/Silva/Boyd
    Bony/RVP/Austin

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is hoping Yun Suk-Young recovers from an ankle problem in time for the derby at Arsenal on Boxing Day.

“He just twisted his ankle,” Redknapp explained.

“He doesn’t look too bad, so we’ll see how it is. We’ll have to see how we go with that one.”

He might get more points if he misses it altogether.

    Guzan (Myhill)
    Taylor Chambers Baines O'Shea Wisdom
    Sanchez Hazard Eriksen Toure Boyd
    Giroud Bony Austin

Any moves? Also, thoughts on Baines? Thinking of giving him one more chance against Stoke.

It's time to give armband to a gunner.
It might be a high scoring match.

I think there's a two week window in between two of the gw's which hopefully will be when Aguero makes his return.
Get Aguero back plus 2 weeks of price rises.
