Versus – Eriksen, Cazorla and Oscar

With winter Wildcards in play, we turn our focus on three in-form midfielders in our second members article of the week. Christian Eriksen, Santi Cazorla and Oscar were all amongst the goals in Gameweek 22 and are more or less identically priced in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) – the former pair set you back 8.2, whilst the Chelsea man is slightly more expensive at 8.3.

With Alexis Sanchez and Eden Hazard looking nailed on for most Fantasy managers, the trio are vying for a spot as the third pricey midfielder in many plans right now. As more look to restructure their sides ahead of the Gameweek 23 deadline in ten days’ time, we assess their recent matches and delve into the data over their last six appearances.

I am going to send Austin a razor for his birthday - no point with Costa as he grows a beard while on the pitch. Sanchez, Hazard, Sterling have proper military style crops.

Could you give me some thoughts on this WC draft

    Foster Myhill
    Terry Bertrand Fonte Bellerin Wisdom
Sanchez Hazard Moses Puncheon or Downing (value tied) Boyd
    Aguero Costa Kane

Can't help but feel a little short in midfield, there just seems to be so many good option in the mid-price range.
Could also switch Foster and Myhill > Panti and Krul then move Baird in for Wisdom

True. Fonte is really unneccessary and with that money players like Giroud and Gardos would be much better options.

I did it now because I like the fixtures starting now..next week is arguably good as well but the only teams with BAD fixtures that I want this week are Chelsea/City and it's hard to call any of their fixtures legitimately bad tbf

Probably Moses. As much as I have a soft spot for Walters and potential penalties, he is morel likely to miss our when all fit. Think I prefer Ward Prowse at this value though. Think I do anyway.

Do you think he's on when Southampton's midfield is back to full strength? I was looking at him as well, but I got the impression that he might struggle for game time.

If he starts, he's my first choice by far. Just worried that he'll have to fight with Tadic, Mane and Elia for game time from now on. He probably adds something different to their game though with his crosses and free kicks. Any Southampton fans/experts out there who can settle this?

Moses. So influential to their style and looked brilliant counterattacking in his small sample sizes earlier on in the season. Always looked the most threatening attacking player on the pitch for Stoke...what that really says is something entirely different however.

They should do away with baps. Their award defies logic half the time, and they skew the system.

the award actually makes perfect sense in the system that they've made available to everyone..

there's a difference between being a good player and a player that is involved in everything and so benefits from baps..it's the reason why Costa sucks for baps and Fabs rocks..Costa is a statuesque target man half the time

Statuesque target man half the time. And the other half the time he's the best striker in the league.

Anyone else selling Downing for the next 4 GWs?
Downing has failed to score or assist against the top 6 teams.
3 out of 4 of West Ham's fixtures are against the top 6.

What about when Bolasie's back from ACON in a couple of weeks though? I don't think Puncheon's nailed. Not properly anyway. And you'll lose a fair few pennies doing that as well.

I didnt think Bolaise was threat to Puncheon's position? I thought maybe Charmak as Puncheon played abit in the hole and mostly on the right wing.
