I'm waiting till tomorrow. We might know more then. I wouldn't want to get rid only for him to be back to his best next week.
I wouldn't
who will be out for Oscar
depends on how much money you have tied up in SanchezCheers!
Is this Wollscheid lad the real deal? Will his place not be taken by Huth/Pieters when they return?
Barring Shawcross, that Stoke backline is a mind field.
Just avoid. Why is he so popular then?
auth going to lei
Pieters is a LB & Huth is going to Leicester...
Ah I see, had no clue. Not good news for Wasi...
Looks to be a pretty safe pick on the evidence so far.
Best route into the Stoke defense and first choice clearly. Also is a giant and a target on set pieces.
Huth is being sold.
My gw relies on Giroud(C)
Dont let me downSame here
So anyone doing adm to silva?!
Not even thought about that. Not a bad shout..
A very good one in fact.
Hull at Etihad could be a slaughter house.
I don't know you'll want Di Maria the week after. He was so involved in the play today, can't see myself getting rid soon.
Pick 1
A Terry & Bellerin
Or
B Azpi & Koscielny
Thanks?A
B
Will be fun to see how all the Sanchez holders react if Wally and Caz show out tomorrow.
Already tripled up 😎
Same 😎
All mine are fit though. 😎 😎
Sanchez when fit trumps Cazorla by a long way, ignoring the price gap
Of course. But I reckon we'll see very little of him in February.
Not much I can do about it now Muppet. If he's badly crocked I'll get Caz next week.
Pfft. Won't be bothered.
😀
Ramsey to steal the show 😎
😯
Meh, I have Caz out of those. I would embrace this for sure since I'm on my WC and he could be a great differential for us in the lower rankings
Silva or adm?
Silva
Silva
Chadli > Silva - fairly sound move, right?
Yes.
Sound until Bony is back imo
Is Bony likely to start? I doubt it somehow.
Think they'll go to a 442, no other reason to spend that much in Jan
Surely they will do this. Pelle's favored formation. They can steamroll teams in a 442 with that quality. Nasri Bony and Yaya in for Fernando Milner and Navas.....the potential for goals is scary.
Yup, diminishes all except Bony and Kun as fantasy prospects imo
I agree.
Hmm. Someone's got to provide the assists though... I think you might be right though. No harm in getting Silva in for now, then reacting if that turns out to be the case later on.
Splits the points though - basically back to the problem I used to have with their players
Silva don't forget always a perennial underachiever for FPL. He will surely chip in with the assists here and there but when they are firing with two strikers he just doesn't score enough to be worth his price. How quickly we forget 😉
Oh I agree. I haven't had him all season - had no interest in him after he went on in his little scoring run because of his past history. Still, the guy ticks over with the points - that's all I'm looking for.
Cheers guys. City fixtures are great for the rest of the season really, and it's not like he's going to be dropped. Hopefully a price rise/drop for either player won't leave me unable to make the move.
Yes
Giroud or Sturridge? Enough $ to buy either.
Already have Sanchez (long term owner and will hold on regardless tom. situation).
Please suggestSturridge easily.
I think Sturridge will score more. But given their respective fixtures, and Giroud's tendency to pick up the odd assist as well as his goals, I don't think there'll be enough in it to justify the 3m extra for Sturridge.
Agree. Will buy back costa if sturridge fails to impress for 3-4 GWs. Neither are long term buys for me....looking to replace costa
Sturridge 100%
Sturr
Who to captain
A. Silva
B. Sturridge
C. Ings
Early dis. I knowA
Time for tea. Can I get anyone anything?
Battered sausage please.
I kicked my Dachshund will that do?
I have a young miniature and it's going bald.
Fungal infection, or stress? Allergy maybe.
It's a vet job, soon imo.
Highball
Stood on a chair. Good enough?
Or the cocktail.
Eyyyeee Know. 😉
This just got outta hand
Tea
Blast! Got a Shilling for the meter?
A good team with enough cash in the bank and 2 extra wildcards for me, thanks...
Emailed FPL Towers on your behalf. Shouldn't be a problem. 🙂
Nice! 🙂
Hot cocoa will do.
Do we still believe in the Pulis factor?
Yes of course
Concurred.
2013-14 Palace pre-Pulis: 10 game 9 defeats 0 clean sheets
2013-14 with Pulis: 28 games 10 defeats 12 clean sheets
He turned a team that couldn't defend into a rock. WBA already had some defensive aptitude. They'll get their fair share of shut-outs between now and GW 33. I'd be planning an exit strategy after that though. 😉
Yes.
No Baird no party
Yes, yesterday was a blip. They were not set up shambolically. Spurs scored a pen and free kick.
Of course. Just play them when you think is best. I rested my defender this week for example.
Foster, Myhill and Wisdom. I have no choice.
I think so. They were up against Kane and Eriksen.
Evening lads. 🙂
Haven't kept an eye on FPL today, so my question was probably asked before a hundred times, but:
Do we know whether Sanchez will play tomorrow? If so, will he?
Ended up with Kane on the bench so I'd like Alexis to miss the game.Repost for wildcarders.
Likely risers:
Haz, Caz, DDG, Elia
Likely fallers:
Sanchez, Fab, WanyamaThanks Rup. Doesn't seem as important as previous seasons. But I guess it will still make a difference nearer the end.
Weh hey, someone finally called me Rup.
Raheem Sterling.
Thoughts?Fast
Will do well paired with Sturridge. Keeping.
John Lennon glasses in Jamaica.
Now Sturridge is back he is looking good.
But 7 of his next 8 are awful.This.
Good player, coming into form, and the team will score more goals again now Sturridge is back. But, their fixtures are terrible.
Planning on getting him in this week. Should increase production now that Sturridge is back
My GW fate will be decided by Walcott (C).
I have this feeling he'll be on the bench, just screwing up my GW even moreWell capable of scoring in a cameo.
He could well be on the bench....but I am feeling that he will go back to the 4141 against such weak opposition. If he does this I think the last name on the team sheet will be between Rosicky and Ramsey. Walcott should get the nod on the wing in this case. If he goes 4231 and he will continue to try that out then Walcott may well miss out with Rosicky in. Very tough to call.
will chambers start?
No clue 😀
This GW everyone but Kane and Aguero played home for me. Next GW though, everyone but Aguero is playing away. Crazy stuff.
Thoughts on this WC? 🙂
Krul - Foster
Clyne - Azpi - Bellerin - PVA - Wisdom
Cazorla - Sanchez - Hazard - Silva - Marney
Austin - Aguero - KaneCarroll goes off on a stretcher. See you next season then Andy.
West Ham attack back on the radar then.
Not with our fixtures.
True.
Early thoughts on this WC defense?
Panti - Mannone
JT - Alder - Jones - (Wisdom/Wolly)Looks tidy.
Cheers Walsh, curious to hear your thoughts on this. What's your opinion on going sans a Chelsea defender and replacing with Belerina or possibly Kosc? It may be daft since I got him at 6.3m and has served me well, but there may be less value to be had in him now, it's also another headache for the blank GW. Imagine Zouma nailing a spot 😯
Arsenal, United and Saints all solid bets for cleanies imoI've gone without Chelsea defense myself, so that just about gives you my opinion. I too had Terry at 6.3 and didn't really feel bad losing him. Koscielny I think has a higher points potential from now until the end of the season with his fixtures and bap potential and I feel like I already got Terry's goals so I wasn't too bothered with losing him. I'm not as sold on United's clean sheet potential as I just feel like I see a worldie save from DDG almost weekly and that can't continue. I also hate all of their defenders, so there is that. I think Bellerin is a risk too far...don't want to sweat team sheets with my defenders when the risk of having to play one of the subs when they have a bad fixture is an almost assured one or two pointer. I also like a bit of a differential and to mix up my team from all the other template ones 🙂
Good thinking, and aye Kosc offers very similar threat and could come golden throughout the end of the season. Arsenal are a tough nut to crack, they've still conceded very few goals fwiw. Completely forgot about the BAPs part, the man's a magnet 😯 .
Yeah, I have a feeling I'll be outta my seat every United game, they have a solid backline in general but they're so prone to that one useless-irrelevant conceded goal in stoppage time. If only LvG would have a clear shape in mind, their defense still hasn't had the time to gel and work off together in a large-span of time and it would really pay off if their defenders could all stay fit for a few weeks straight.
Aye, Zouma and Belerina fall into that Cameron/Baird trap of it being to good to be true. Seems inevitable, yet the fruit is there and ready to be picked from the naughty, it could be ripe or rotten. Early bird gets the worm, yet one should evade defensive transfers right now with DGW's coming into play.
Have similar thoughts on JT in the sense I've been put off with many having him now and his ownership has skyrocketed. At the 50k mark, I could use a cheeky differential in the back and with JT at 6.5 for me, perhaps it'd be better to bank the prophets and run while reinvesting the funds up top. JT to Kosc could be golden.
I think you've cleared my mind here Walsh, as always mate, thanks for the sound advice eh.
Alder injured?
Yes, can afford to bench him for next GW in any case. Apparently is due back sooner rather than later
I'd rather
Foster Myhill
PVADon't feel too comfortable having too many chickens in the Pulis nest right now, but I can see why you're keen on that. I may consider it soon though, cheers Marooney. PvA is a better option than Wisdom for though, great value as well.
So what does everyone think of Zouma? I know he's a risk but the prospect of owning a Chelsea defender at 4.6 sounds too tempting + he was brilliant today
Planning on getting him at some point for sure.
He was quite good. It's a risk, much like getting Bellerin is I think, but could be well worth it even if he gets rotated provided you have good enough cover and he is your fifth defender.
He is played against quick attackers. Against Stoke for example he will not play.
That is fair, but with his pace it looks like he has a much higher ceiling than what Cahill is offering. And alongside old man Terry back there the pace is more valuable regardless of opposition I feel like to a degree.
Exactly, Zouma is the perfect partner for Terry. Would Mou rotate the CB pairing heavily though? I know he prefers to have a rather settled back four, and Cahill has been dire this season. Zouma could be THAT guy
Honestly chaps, I'm just giving my opinion. If you choose to risk it, do so. I won't.
I agree with you assessment just sort of offering a counter-point. Think he will be rotated and I tend to avoid any defender who may be rotated regardless of anything else.
Yeah, you're probably right here Rubert. This may fall into the Cameron/Baird category
He's brilliant. He won't play every game though - Mourinho would still trust Cahill more against an opposition target man, and Chelsea spots are gold-dust, unfortunately.
Good option as long as your bench players are sound and not also prone to too much rotation.
As a rule of thumb, one should know what they're getting into going for a defender like him. If it's too good to be true..
Would still love him to start more often, Cahill isn't cutting it but Mou may very well trust Cahill to finish out the season. Next season may be his time, let's all hope not 😉
Rubert has a good point though, perhaps this a risk too far with the DGW's coming into play. Better to plan for that than having a nuisance of a defensive transfer haunting your progress
Fed up with ADM, straight swap to Silva? Or someone else?
Considering the same move with city's fixtures!
Are people benching Kane next week? Might make him captain so
I will never bench him. Most goals this season of any PL striker.
U wot m8?
In all comps. Whoops.
few WC with Downing
I think Mark one of the fewQuick shout out to my boy Seamus Coleman:
Points in the 2 GWs before I got him: 9, 7. (16 points in total)
Points in the 10 GWs that I owned him: 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2, 4, 1, 2. (18 points in total)
Points in the 2 GWs after I sold him: 6, 9 (15 points in total)😀
Shall I trample on him for you?
Nah, thanks. Not like I'm bitter enough to count the points or anything...
😆
I hate that Everton defense so much.Fecker. Gotta hand it to him.
Chaps, exciting time roll around again as I have my second half of the season draft night tonight. I get 5th pick. I am assuming that Aguero/Costa/Sanchez/Hazard will go first. Who would you pick after that as a first round pick?
Call me crazy, but may Sturridge?
maybe*
Sturr, Sterling, Silva, Walcott
Eriksen, Bony, Yaya, Walcott, Sterling, Kane, Oscar, Fabregas
Sturridge was who I was thinking of. Some potential second rounders there for sure if nobody else picks them up.
Fabregas, RVP and Di Maria are decent.
Sturridge could be gold. He's finally producing for my draft team. 🙂Had RVP last time around. A bit disappointed by him to be honest.
Think the second half could be better, but not a fantastic pick.
I'd say Sturridge, and Fabregas are up there. Fabregas for the pure consistency, in a draft game that's gold. By the end of the season he would be one of your most valuable players.
ADM, Yaya, Eriksen, Kane, Sterling
Hmm, interesting take on Fabregas. Although I'm hoping I can play a nifty secret weapon in round 2 or 3....Cuadrado, so not sure on Fab.
What does everyone think of Defoe?
Good looking chap.
He got me 50 pointer once. He has my sympathies forever.
Swine
2 Questions....
Play WC or Just do Transfers?
Any Risers tonight?any point getting ddg in on wc, will he double rise?
unlikely you would think...
No, he wont
No chance.
I can't see it Bemba. But who knows? Stranger rises happen. If you have the cash spare you can always dump him come Friday.
What has happened to Dortmund? Surely Lewandowski wasnt that important?
Bottom 18 games in.Still going strong in the CL oddly enough
They've been down there all season pretty much too. Wouldn't say it's all or mostly down to Lewa leaving as they can still look brilliant going forward, particularly when Reus/Aubameyang are available...
It's defensively where they're struggling most. Mistakes galore this season.other key players injured during the season
I don't think Lewandowski has too much to do with it.
As always in these situations, the main thing is confidence, and getting into the habit of losing, rather than the habit of winning. It's very hard to stop the slide after a couple of weeks of bad results. They've made individual mistakes at the back at wrong times, and that's cost them.
The main thing for me though, is their intense style of play - I simply think that they're burnt out. They've had a very small squad in each of the last few seasons, and last seasons' injury disaster has continued in this one. After the World Cup, all this has added up, and they simply don't seem to have the fitness and motivation to keep up pressing the way they used to - a really high amount of their goals conceded have been in the latter stages of games.
For Klopp's vision to work, you need 11 totally committed players, running their socks of every match. The more you have success, players get more of an ego, they get complacent, and it gets more and more difficult to keep that up.

On a wildcard and getting nervous with the Sanchez issue... Sanchez out to Cazorla and Oscar good move or not? Have Silva and Hazard too
