Scotch is best neat imo. I may give sours a shot. I like a drink when I am off and have been experimenting a bit recently. Mostly with different forms of gin consumption though. I was given some for Christmas and developed a taste quite quickly for martinis.

I love the boutique bottlings of aged single casks from old discontinued distilleries. Highlands over Islay (too peaty, although a recent 33 yo Caol Ila was marvellous).I like it straight myself. Having said that, he scares me every week as a non-owner.He's more likely to score than Saints. That's why it's a 10 for me.
I actually think he may get a CS but no attacking returns. SOU is a defensive team, and with solid wing and wing back that will peg Ivan back most of the game he won't spend as much time in the final third.
They'll peg no one back the way they're playing. And the fact that Berty's so attacking bodes well for Ivan's chances of scoring or assisting actually.

About the only thing of note he could provide would be one of the lesser known Bourbons. But I'm no fan of Bourbon so don't have much insight there.
I found a small batch distillery out of Waco Texas that makes the most amazing Hopi Blue Corn Whiskey (US spelling). It's the only thing I have found in the US that hits my taste for true whisky. Distillery is called Balcones. Absolutely amazing stuff. Runs about 118 proof. A little ice and you wake up a week later . . . .
We have lots of Micro breweries in Colorado. I haven't had a Coors product since I was in college 30+ years ago.Corn whiskey. That sh!t is mental.

Best is subjective I really could not say. Head to the royal mile and take a stop at one of the many whisky bars on the way down it and choose one at random is my best advice. There are 3 main types of whisky Highland, Lowland and Speyside. There are also those from the islands try ones from each of different ages is a good idea.
Personally I like peaty whisky's like Laphroig and Talisker. But they are probably a bit common for your tastes.
If you like peaty whisky isn't Irish whiskey better? I generally prefer it myself.
Brilliant advice. We are staying on Princes Street. I am partial to Highland. I like the oaky smoothness. (That's what she said.) We'll find our spot, no doubt. And I will make sure to sample as much as I can.

Dalwhinnie is quite a nice highland whisky. I drink a reasonable chunk of Speyside whisky though as that is where I live.
