Hey guys, RMT please? gonna use the West Ham/Rotation in midfield and up top and the Bournemouth/Watford rotation in defence after seeing an article published on here the other day! Any help appreciated!!

    Butland (Schwarzer)

    Mertesacker Azpi Mings (Angella Gamboa)

    Hazard Silva Walcott Ritchie (Wanyama)

    Rooney Sakho Wilson

Would look to upgrade Gamboa to a 4.5 defender as he wont play.

Other than that, good team! I've gone Kosc and Aspi but I may have to get Mert instead

I'm gonna upgrade Mertesacker to Kosc I think, got Gamboa cause it frees up money for Aguero in a few weeks

Yeah but Gamboa's price is gonna drop soon and once you have players worth around 3.9/3.8 they can be hard to get rid of

    Last Page 🙁

    Sup DZers.

    Ruddy Butland
    Azpi Mings Huth O'Shea Prodl
    Hazard Silva Ozil Ritchie Wanyama
    Rooney Benteke Sakho

    a) Save .5m and get Depay after moving in Aguero in wk4. Allowing Manure coverage.
    b) Prodl out, Cedric in, strengthening defense with the sacrifice of only getting a 7.0m (Schwein, Ayew, Milner, Chadli etc. etc.
    c) Some other move.

I didn't even realise there was a proper threat for RMT 🙂 I've been putting it anywhere but seem to egt lost!
Anyway, I LOVE FF and have played for years but I am always pretty crap lol Any input from people who are good would be great!

    Guzan/Myhill (rotate well)

Mertesacker Clyne Huth (Williams, Saylor) - (Huth/Williams rotate well)

    Hazard Sterling Walcott Mahrez

    Rooney Benteke Lukaku

(I did have front 3 Rooney, Costa, Deeney but Costa now a doubt?)

Input very much appreciated! I want to do well in mini leagues where I am usually terrible!

Monitor Lukaku's fitness as he went off injured in a friendly earlier this week. The defence is missing Chelsea imo.

Thank you! Hmm i know what you mean! They're just all 6M though arent they and i'm struggling!

Would you DG Williams (5) to another 4.5 to rotate with Huth and then upgrade Clyne to azpi?

Greetings all. I'm still tinkering and was wondering if I could get an RMT? Thanks

    Myhill, Hennesy
    Apzi, Mert, Huth, Oshea, Targett
    Hazard, Wallcott, Milner, Chadli, Bentelab
    Costa, Rooney, Sakho

    0 ITB.

Gk: Not sure about this but need a dirt cheap and want a WBA defender
Def: Would prefer Kosc but need 0.5 from somewhere. Targett is a placeholder for an emerging 4.0.
Mid: Decided to go with Haz to stop me hiding behind the couch. Still messing with Fab though. Bit disappointed I can't get Mane for fixtures
Fwd: Will wait and see on Costa but a bit stuck for replacement. Roon to Augero and Costa to Benteke for GW4.

      Welcome Toast!

Good team you have there. Few things to consider:

Costa may be injured as he felt something with his hamstrings in a friendly earlier this week.

Hennessey is an unknown at the moment. I'd try and get another keeper to rotate.

      Not a fan of Azpi/Mert.

Why not a fan of azpi/mert? Both are nailed on/will get clean sheets and pick up a few assists(azpi)/the odd goal from set pieces(mert).

Just looking for a reason to change them as i have both

    RMT please,

Still tinkering, but feeling pretty set with most:

    Butland / Ruddy
    Azpilicueta / Mertesacker / Cedric / Huth / O'Shea
    Hazard / Sterling / Ozil / Milner / Wanyama
    Rooney / Lukaku / Sakho

Good game for Lukaku first up, then may change pretty soon after. Aguero not until GW 4. Cedric or Alderweireld?

    All thoughts appreciated. Cheers

      Have basically the same team.

      GK = yes
      DEF = yes
MID = Sterling over Walcott? Milner over Hendo?
FWD = Pelle over Lukaku with fixtures

Think Sterling is good for City coverage first few games, and have Ozil over Walcott...at present.

Pelle v Lukaku is a tough one. I just see Everton vs. Watford first up at Goodison and see all of the goals for Lukaku. Pelle in after that is one of the potential plans.

Pretty standard, not too many punts. Cheap strikers will be rotated. Double Sakho it is! What do you say?

    Ruddy Butland
    Azpi Francis O'Shea Huth Sakho
    Hendo Sterling Hazard Ozil Mane
    Rooney Sakho Wilson 0.0

Hard to find any holes to be honest. Might be tempted to have Cedric over Sakho for fixtures, and I prefer a 5.0 keeper over rotating two 4.5s, but that's personal preference.

      1. FPLord
        • 14 Years

Cheers. Sakho is a punt for now as I like LIV home games and I'm not sure if SOT can replicate their defensive form of last season. I had your GKs before but changed it as I prefer to play the fixtures...

you might be right, but I see 12 defenders on Watford's list. If he's 100% to start I think he's a great option due to his goal threat. I for my part prefer "definite" starters at the beginning of the campaign as many unpredicted things will happen anyway.

Could also be Ruddy if you prefer a heavy hitter in goal.

    Please RMT

    Schmeichel / Schwarzer
    Azpi / Mert / Cedric / Huth / O'shea
    Hazard / Ozil / Depay / Mane / Wanyama
    Costa / Benteke / Deeney

I'd would be looking to upgrade Costa to Aguero in GW3 by dropping one of my MIDs by 2mil.

Benteke would also be a possibility for downgrade depending on performance.

I wouldn't go with a 4.5\4.0 keeper combination, it lacks rotation and are you going to be comfortable starting Kasper every week? Go with a good 5.5\4.0 or two good rotating 4.5's.

Maybe try finding the extra 0.5 by changing one of your dedenders to a 4.0, you already have a good 3 solid starters + a good 4.5 for rotation so I don't think you'll need 2.

Apart from that looks good mate

Hi guys, new to FFS. Rate my team please?

    Schmichael | Butland

    Kos | Azpi | Huth | O'Shea | Targett

    Ozil | Silva | Hazard | Mané | Mahrez

    Giroud | Lukaku | Defoe

3-5-2 for GW1 (in order of list)

Obviously going to upgrade lukaku after GW1 and get Aguero in for GW4. Thoughts?

I'm on the Sky Sports format and would greatly appreciate feedback:

    Adrian
    Francis, Van Aanholt, Jenkinson
    Hazard, Cazorla, Depay, Mane, Clasie

(Plan would be to introduce Aguero/Sanchez/Payet soon after season starts, in place of Rooney/Cazorla/Mane)

I don't really know the Sky format, but I will say that's a good team. Some doubts there though, like Depay and Cazorla. Depay is new, and Cazorla is likely to be playing defensively.

      1. Journo91
        • 8 Years
        8 years, 10 months ago

Thanks for this. It's a bit simpler than FPL - you don't have bench players, so need reliable starters. The values are probably a little different.

Having seen Depay last night, I'm thinking he might be a slow burner. Would you reckon Walcott or Ozil a better bet than Cazorla? And what do you think about Payet?

  18. PSEBJ27
    • 8 Years

What do you guys think of this team? I think Defoe will be a good punt, and Sakho should have a strong season. I've got two rotating goalies, three good defenders, four good midfielders, and an Aguero plan. I think it's good, but what do you guys think?

    Schmeichel (Butland)

    Ivanovic-Mertesacker-Shaw (Turner, Targett)

    Hazard(vc)-Sterling-Walcott-Ritchie (Wanyama)

    Defoe-Costa(c)-Sakho

2.0 in the bank for Costa to you know who in GW 2. What do you guys think?

          Guzan/Myhill (good rotation fixtures)

Mertesacker Clyne Huth (Williams, Saylor) (Williams/Huth rotate nicely)

          Hazard Sterling Mahrez Walcott (Wanyama)

          Rooney Benteke Lukaku

            • 8 Years

Lukaku seems like a one week punt, and he's also injured at the moment. I like the midfield but Mahrez worries me. Clyne is my main botheration on defense. If you do Clyne to Shaw, Lukaku to Sakho (great fixtures, Payet feeding him), and Mahrez (rotation risk) to Chadli or one of the 7.0s I think you'll be good. I'm assuming Mahrez is a 5.5, if he's a six or higher I'd say take the punt on Payet.

Yeah he's a 5.5 and I had him even before people seemed to have jumped on bandwagon from last night. I was also thinking of downgrading Williams (5) to another 4.5 who would rotate well with huth and then upgrading Clyne to Azpi?

If Walcott doesnt get full 90 on Sunday I think I will be downgrading him to Carzola and then using the 0.5 to maybe upgrade mahrez to a 6mill too (maybe puncheon)

Lakaku fitness does worry me, i just think if playing he will get off to a flyer, he is my one 'feeling'!

If Costa fit tho i think I may revert back to Rooney/Costa/Deeney?

                • 8 Years
                8 years, 10 months ago

If you want Azpi, definitely drop Williams. If Walcott doesn't get full 90 (which is likely, he may be subbed but you should be looking for whether he starts or not) downgrade to Ozil hands down. Stay with Lukaku if that's the case, always good to have a punt, and yes, if Costa is fit definitely go back to that.

    Hi all, plz RMT

    Hennessey/Ruddy
    Ivanovic/Huth/O'Shea/Francis/Bassong
    Hazard/Milner/Walcott/Özil/Ki Sung-yueng
    Sakho/Wilson/Rooney

    2.5 ITB

The 2.5 ITB is for Rooney > Aguero GW4.
I'd prefer not to pre-plan my WC.
Not sure about my GK pair. I could downgrade Ivan to Azpi for the extra £ for this upgrade.

    Thnx for your help! :>

I genuinely think it's bonkers keeping 2.5m in the bank, upgrade someone like Ki to Mané (for instance) and spend 4 points for GW2, you could miss out on bare points with that cash.

Not a bad idea. Will think about putting Ki up to Mane and then taking a hit to bring in Aguero GW4.

RMT - Any help would be fabulous.

    Cech

    O'shea - Mings - Richards

    Ozil - Hazard - Cazorla - Depay

    Rooney - Costa - Deeney

    Subs: Rudd - 4.0 - Bassong - Wanyama

OK I know the defence is awful I know but It just allows my Midfield to be so much tastier so thats why I did it. Is that a very bad idea?

My plan for GW4 is Rooney to Aguero and Whichever of the 8.5s is not doing as well as i would like to the bandwagon 6.0 mid at the time ( or else a wildcard, Hopefully not though ) .

Any thoughts at all would be greatly appreciated.

I had a cheap defense like that but then I thought of it this way. A defender gets the same points for a CS that a striker gets for scoring. I personally would be fine getting a 5.5-7.0 striker who scores every couple of games. Basically, having someone like Azpilicueta in your team is adding a good chance of a so called "striker's goal" worth of points. Add players like Ivanovic, Baines, and all and now you're looking at some good points for a very cheap price compared to midfielders and strikers. Sure, their points are up in the air and one goal conceded screws you up, but in the grand scheme of thing a two pointer or a one pointer shouldn't affect your score too much, whereas a 6 pointer or a 12 pointer can be really good. There's more benefits than negatives. Not to mention defenders have been getting lots of bonus points.

        This is true but

a defender is limited to 1 CS per game, a striker is not limited to 1 goal per game

Just means you have to be comfortable with SUN BOU AVL and NOR going away to top teams and getting spanked, only way around that is to get 5th 4.5 Defender for better rotation. Drop Cazorla (Ozil is nailed on at no10) and get a 8.0 midfielder in to free up to other 0.5 (Mané is probably your best bet)

I know this might give you a headache getting Aguero in for GW4, but I imagine alot will be using their wildcard in which case you'll have better bearings then and will be able to re-think your team entirely.

Maybe consider doing Benteke/Mane --> Pelle/Milner (or Henderson)? That gives you a little more cash to splash in other places like your GK, upgrading to Ivanovic from Azpilicueta or Deeney to Sakho.

I'm seriously considering punting on Andreu as my fifth midfielder--if he sits on the bench, his 0.2% ownership won't hurt me with a price drop. If he nails down the starting spot, he looks a potential OOP player based upon his preseason performances. Can anyone give me a strong argument AGAINST this?

This is an interesting point. For the similar reasons, I'm worried about owning Wanyama... If he is in poor form, his ownership/price may drop quickly.

This came up during the hangout session. There will certainly be a few more 4.5 options out there after the first few weeks, and with the number of players planning early wildcards (not to mention those who will succumb to the temptation despite their best laid plans), I think Wanyama is a much bigger risk that earlier anticipated.

Last I checked Andreu wasn't even listed in FPL. So, they added him? At what price?

My only worry is that you'll lose one midfield spot, and there's a lot of value on pricier midfield assets.

      1. The Cisco Kid

He is a 4.5 midfielder. And you are certainly correct that there are a lot of value plays in higher price brackets, but many teams are opting for one 4.5 mid to facilitate stronger striking options. With that in mind, I'm struggling to find a drawback...

Just right now it seems I'd start with 6 midfielders and 2 forwards if it was possible. Love the midfield options, hard to drop anybody, and picking Andreu would mean to drop a one.

Didn't Andreu play in lower midfield some pre-season match? I think he scored nevertheless, but was against a crap team.

I haven't watched any of the matches and am solely relying upon our wonderful preseason reports, but it sounds as though he's playing alongside or just behind the strikers. In any case, he apparently has four goals to his name already.

Sakho and one of C Wilson or Deeney? Not sure I love seeing those two alongside Ritchie and Johnson, though. You definitely get more solidity at back, but it's risky backing promoted sides. Southampton are the only ones that really seem to have hit the ground running in the last few seasons--at least, by my recollection.

Too much spent in defense. Downgrade Fonte to Cedric, upgrade Cresswell to Koscielny. Drop Clyne for a 4.5. Then downgrade B Johnson and use some money to upgrade Henderson to Mane.

      Then you've got

      Cech

      Ivanovic Koscielny Cedric

      Ritchie Hazard Ozil Mane

      Rooney Sakho Deeney/Wilson/Defoe

With (if I've done my math correctly) leaves you with 2.0 in the bank to upgrade a midfielder or a defender of your choice.

    Current team:

    Butland, Hennessey
    Azpi, Shaw, Huth, Coates, Targett
    Fabregas, Ramsey, Depay, Sterling, Bentaleb
    Aguero, Pelle, Sakho

Toying with a couple of changes...

    1) Fabregas, Aguero -> Hazard, Rooney if Kun isn't ready for week 1
    2) Downgrading Sterling -> Tadic to upgrade Coates -> A Williams, Pelle -> Benteke, Ramsey > Walcott, and another 4.5 keeper like Schmeichel

    Thanks in advance!

Shaw looks interesting here. Also, you have some strong attacking players.

I would probably do your first change, since Aguero looks unlikely to be ready.

Beyond that, I think your biggest concerns will be your two 4.0 players. If Targett plays, it will be very short-lived and leave you susceptible to a price drop. Hennessey isn't bad, but isn't nailed on, either, so I'd be wary.

Can someone convince me on Sakho, please?

West Ham have looked utter crap in pre season and Europa League (sorry Doos).

I keep hearing they're going to be scoring more goals and Sakho is pretty much 'de rigueur' in everyone's template teams. I'm not seeing it, folks.

Sakho was immense last season, but since everyone had a certain 5.0 forward called Kane, everyone overlooked the lower/mid price-range. While he struggled with injuries, he averaged 4.6 points per game when he started, putting him ahead of Pelle, Rooney, Berahino, Lukaku, and others. Also, West Ham have strengthened, Sakho seems to have won the striker spot, and they face LEI, BOU, NEW, and NOR in the opening 7 gameweeks. How's that?
