Short term side this, although GW2-3 is a lot better than GW1.

    Ruddy, Rudd.

    Hazard, Walcott, Chadli, Lens, Fletcher.

Been swapping him about for Cabaye/Bolasie and Ritchie, it's a punt no matter who I go for imo, some a little more punty than others 😉

How sure are you on Sakho and West Ham in general? How do you feel over Berahino instead of Sakho?

It's a strong looking team, very balanced.

        • 12 Years

I presume you're talking about the Reid/Jenkinson double up? Their opening home fixtures scream CS, only issue is covering their horrid away games. Sakho can score against anyone and is easily downgradeable to a Berahino(who has worse fixtures imo).

That's it, it's fair to double up on defenders but usually I'm hesitant to do so, especially on non-top-teams. As long as there is reasonable cover when they have tough GWs then by all means, go for it.

Obviously here you must be WCing but for what reason? The main reason for the early

Really fond of this team. Gotta love the frontline. I would downgrade Lens to McClean perhaps( he has proven himself before) and Wally to Ramsey or Özil and get a heavyhitter in the D. Otherwise i think it's pretty sweet.

    Cech McCarthy
    Azpi Jenkinson Cedric Huth O'shea
    Hazard Ozil Mane Payet Anya
    Rooney Giroud Deeney
    0.5 itb

Main concerns are Mane and Payet in midfield. Lots of options available. Payet hasn't proven anything yet. Is this taking unnecessary from the start.

Also been debating whether to go Giroud or Benteke. I feel that paying the 0.5 extra for Giroud is a safer choice as Arsenal will be the same team that dominated the second half of last season.

    1. Parm
      • 12 Years
      8 years, 10 months ago

For me, Giroud to Benteke & Ozil to Walcott gives you greater goalscoring threat, see how that one could pan out by monitoring the Community Shield.

Defence is maybe a little heavy for my liking. Although I like Mané given Sain't opening fixtures(watch out for a little Europa League rotation mind) & Payet's GW2-3 fixtures are to die for so worth the risk imo.

      1. Louis

Cheers, will indeed watch CS as this game will give us important info concerning who Wenger favours to start the season.

Defence is a bit heavy? Been considering downgrading one of Cedric or Jenko to a 4.5 but I can't find one that rotates well and isn't from a promoted league.

Sterling -> explosive player, playing in very good team. He will benefit huge from Toure, Silva and Aguero. He has much bigger scoring potential than Ozil and playing much further forward than Caz.

Howay then let's see what people think of this.

    Butland - 4.0

    Azpi - Mert - Huth/Williams - 4.0

    Hazard - Ozil - Sterling - Aarons - Wanyama

    Costa - Rooney - Mitrovic

I honestly believe that Aarons will play and that he will get points but if I'm wrong then I'm willing to take the hit

What do you want to know? Aarons should play and I've got faith that McClaren will pick him he's our best player in that position and played every game so far preseason (I think) and he's only one of a few that have. De Jong could be a great pick as well of he stays fit and you can afford the 6.5 price tag and the new lad looks promising as well but a bit more expensive at 7.0

Constantly amending my team during the Scoutcast. I've really not settled on anything so far 🙂

    Here is the current draft:

    Ritchie - Ozil - Hazard - Walcott - Fletcher

    Rooney - Sakho Pelle

Really good team, only concerns are:

Defence is maybe too expensive. I'd wait a bit longer to see which 4.5 Sunderland def is nailed. Or even downgrade Ivan to Azpi.

Monitor the Arsenal midfield situation as once Sanchez is back, I see Wally being dropped.

    2. Big4FPL
      • 9 Years

Personally I don't like rotating keepers, but that's just me! Also, I'm guessing Shaw and Ivan fixed and is that a 3 way rotation? If so, I'd downgrade one to a 4.0 and go 2 way rotation which gives you 0.5 for whatever (personally I'd use it to go Ozil to Sterling but thats only as you dont have any City players, just my opinion!)

Hi all. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on my team and all answers to the questions I pose.

    Butland Ruddy
    Azpi O'Shea Huth Francis Cedric
    Hazard Mane Chadli Walcott Fletcher
    Rooney Wilson Benteke
2.0m in the bank to fund Rooney to Aguero.

The main part of my team that I'm not sure about is Benteke. I don't know if he'll suit Liverpool's style of play but I don't see any better options at his price. Is there anyone you think is better.

I have gone for Wilson over Deeney because of his better fixtures and I think his pace will cause teams problems.

Feel free to leave any suggestions or thoughts.

Planning to change between 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 depending on fixtues of Richie, Deeney and Sakho, who all rotate well. Plan is to downgrade worst performing mid to a bandwagon cheapie to fund rooney to Aguero in GW 4. Not sure about Sterling for the start but I don't know who else to replace him with.

    Schmeichel - Butland

    Naughton - Azpi - Kosc - Huth - S.Taylor

    Milner - Walcott - Fabregas - Sterling - Ritchie

    Deeney - Rooney - Kane

Any thoughts on this draft guys?

Naughton seems like he may gain some attacking potential this season, Ayew is a player who likes to get into the box so will be perfect for Naughton laying in crosses from the opposite side. Bit worried about Man Citys opening fixtures in terms of Sterling points but after GW 4 he should rack them up so keeping him there to set a baseline.
Intending to downgrade Walcott when Sanchez is back to upgrade Rooney for Kun.

    Any thoughts?

I'd look at downgrading Milner or Ritchie to a 4.5. And then maybe upgrade Saylor or even try to get Hazard. I believe Hazard is close to essential, his game last night shows that he is already on form!

I would use your 0/5 to upgrade STaylor to a 4.5m defender, or to do Ozil -> Walcott

Hangout Movie now added to the article....

Sorry we could only cover 4-5 teams tonight, this was very much a dry run of the format.

I hope you enjoy the ramblings.

Hats off to those who spent time offering advice to the queries in this thread tonight. Great stuff.

    Schmeichel (Schwarzer)
    Azpilicueta - Mertesacker - Cedric (O'Shea - Francis)
Hazard - Walcott - Milner - Bolasie (Fletcher)
    Aguero - Pelle - Sakho

Just can't quite get happy with my team. Maybe I need to step away for a while! Any thoughts on the above?

    To double up with Özil:

    A) Giroud

    B) Walcott

Which one is better? Which one is safer? Seems like there are question marks regarding both of them...

I would go for Walcott, I think he's going to start well & could even be up front, but if I was going to double up if prob go with Ramsey.

    Which is best?
    A. Benteke and Chadli
    B. Sterling and Berahino/Sakho
