The ScoutCast – Episode 195 – Zlatan

Inevitably, Zlatan Ibrahimovic stalks Episode 195 of the ScoutCast. Lauding over us like a Eric Cantona wannabe, the big Swede has wasted know time in getting Granville, Jonty, Andy and myself all in a tizzy.

Do you dare go without the Zlatan/Aguero double act? How do you adapt your midfield to accommodate the pricey pair? Will a wolf enter the Scout hut and interrupt the broadcast?

These questions and more are all answered over the course of another 70 minutes, as Jonty serves up our first “Rough with the Smooth” Gameweek tales from the community, before throwing us the best of your questions gathered throughout the week.

In other news, we’re still 100 episodes short of Last of the Summer Wine’s 295. Stick with us guys, we’re nearly almost there. Coincidentally, we also stopped being funny back in episode three.

This episode was first broadcast via YouTube on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel to get the heads up on future live episodes.

Need to make at least 1 transfer as 2FT available! Looking at stones to -
    a) Souare
    b) McAuley

Which do I go with guys?

    Schmeichel (Jak)

    Baines - Stones - Shaw

    Hazard - Deulofeu - Capoue - Redmond

    Aguero (c) - Vardy - Ibra

    (Gaston, Kingsley - Amat)

Then after international break (avoiding any injuries), Deulofeu and Vardy > Barkley and Lukaku.

Kingsley for someone else? Not sure doubling up on Swansea defenders is wise with their horrendous run of fixtures.

They are both in there as 4.0 bench fodder for now, I would be playing the other 3 every week for a while as fixtures are good.

Lose Kingsley then. Swansea fixtures are tough from now on and he will share playing time with Taylor. There are other 4.0s cropping up like Love & Wilson.

Friend and Kone out so with Foster, Valencia, Stones and Amat who would U recommend for Kone:

    A) Love (free up 0.5m but he might be dropped)
    B) Holding (with that Mustafi news it's risky)
    C) other 4-4.5 but who?
    D) waste FT (like rest of my team)

Basically Vardy vs Ibra (and at the time of buying 1.5 mil between them)
Vardy not on Pens means there's only one winner
I don't see the 1.5 making up the gap
      But not suicide.

    3. Crystal

Why does it matter? You can downgrade to any other player in the game

      1. Christina.
        • 14 Years
        7 years, 9 months ago

It does matter. Because it will break the template and open a new host of potential differentials. At the moment Ibra/Kun/Negredo,Gray/6.5m seems to be set in stone.

        1. Crystal
          • 10 Years
          7 years, 9 months ago

Financially it doesn't though. Templates always get broken, we're only 2 weeks in, other form players emerge and a template created. Just a cycle

          1. Christina.
            • 14 Years
            7 years, 9 months ago

If they stay fit no one has the balls to sell Kun and Ibra. Wont happen. Ever.

Kun won't though. Injury waiting to happen.

            1. Crystal
              • 10 Years
              7 years, 9 months ago

It's only 2 players. I don't see a template defence yet as so little clean sheets and the midfield is still wide open

              1. Christina.
                • 14 Years
                7 years, 9 months ago

Yes, it's only 2 players...owned by 54 & 52% of managers..making up 24.5m of our 100m budget. Most weeks those two will lead the (c) poll I'm sure.

That only leaves us 75.5m to get differentials and once you take Stones/Val/Shaw/Haz/Negredo out of the equation it doesn't leave us room to differentiate our teams.

Our budgets are stretched as it is and as soon as a Ozil/Tekkers hits form and Bellerin start keeping CS's we will have problems balancing the books.

If Kun get's injured it will take a couple of weeks for a template to form again which will help in gaining ground on the leaders if you make the correct calls.

We won't sign another number 1. Pickford will be until Manonne fit again (and potentially beyond depending how he does). He's got huge potential and deserves his chance. I agree we should sign experienced cover as backup. Even in on loan. Would be silly not too.

Thoughts? Friend's injury means gonna have to play Amat which is annoying and want to get rid of Chamberlain but not sure if worth taking a hit?

    De Gea | Jaku
Terry Friend Shaw | Amat Paredes
Hazard Mahrez Ramirez Chamberlain | Capoue
    Aguero (c) Ibra (vc) Negredo

This seems a bit weird, considering the decline in English teams' successes in Europe...

It's for the commercial aspect. No one wants to see the likes of Steaua or Viktoria Plzen

    Pickford wildcard bandwagon incoming.
Pickford / Jaku bandwagon template to nullify all price-rise headaches

Pickford Jaku is a disaster waiting to happen. Very little long-term CS potential imo
