The Weekend Team News

Theo Walcott will undergo a late fitness test as Arsenal make their way to Sunderland tomorrow lunchtime. Scott Dann is back in contention as Palace entertain Liverpool, whilst Junior Stanislas remains a doubt as Bournemouth travel to ‘Boro.

Theo Walcott is set to be assessed later today with a “very minor” hamstring problem, according to Arsene Wenger. Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal also require late tests, though Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud are back in contention. Lucas Perez is out for six-to-eight weeks with an ankle injury.

Andrew Surman has recovered from illness ahead of Bournemouth’s clash with Middlesbrough. Eddie Howe has admitted he will make “a late call” over the availability of Junior Stanislas, who missed out last week with a calf complaint.

Hull’s Adama Diomande has been charged with violent conduct, following an incident in their midweek cup win over Bristol City. The club have until this evening to reply, with the Norwegian facing three matches on the sidelines if found guilty. Mike Phelan is already without the services of Robert Snodgrass, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury.

Slaven Bilic revealed West Ham “have a few knocks” ahead of their trip to Everton but went on to say “all those who played (in midweek) should all be fit and available for Sunday”. The Hammers boss also confirmed that Andre Ayew is “very close” being able to start after returning from injury in the 2-1 cup win over Chelsea.

Andre Gray is available for Burnley’s trip to Man United after serving a four-match ban. Stephen Ward has recovered from a knock and Sean Dyche is optimstic on George Boyd’s fitness, though Steven Defour remains “touch and go” with a hamstring problem.

Jason Puncheon remains a “slight doubt” for Palace’s clash with Liverpool, though Alan Pardew has confirmed that Scott Dann is now available for selection.

Daryl Janmaat returns to the Watford squad for tomorrow’s visit of Hull. Isaac Success is expected to be ruled out until after the international break, whilst Craig Cathcart, Kenedy and Stefano Okaka all remain sidelined.

Ben Chilwell joins Nampalys Mendy on the injured list for Leicester’s trip to White Hart Lane. Matty James is still unavailable as he builds up his match fitness.

Geoff Cameron is a doubt for Stoke’s clash with Swansea on Monday evening due to a knee problem. Phil Bardsley is likely to miss out – he’s been granted compassionate leave following the death of his grandfather.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Okay guys, the managers who wanted to transfer Antonio out, but now also have Walcott as a doubt.

A: Will you be keeping Walcott and shipping Antonio
B: Will you be keeping Antonio and shipping Walcott
C: Or are you shipping both for 2FT/-4 hit

    Thanks!

Thoughts on these transfers - Walcott+Antonio to Coutinho+Shaqiri (2 FTs) which would give me:

    Heaton
    Mustafi - Lovren - Holebas
    Firmino - Coutinho - Sterling - Shaqiri
    Aguero - Ibra - Austin

    Pickford - Baines - Capoue - Amat

Or do I just do Antonio to Shaqiri, keep Walcott, roll the transfer and have Capoue first sub?

What am I missing? (apart from a load of points!)

Yeah indeed - have options to get Walcott back in if Sterling continues to underperform

I think this actually dents his appeal, better than RB but worse than from the wing coming in at the back post. Just like Michu back in the day, better from behind the striker/wing

    Foster
    Clyne--Koscielny--Holebas
    Walcott*--Capoue--Sanchez (C)--Sterling
    Aguero--Lukaku--Deeney

    Subs: McAuley, Amat*, Snodgrass*

I was going to roll my transfer as I have two planned next GW. But now down to bare bones after Snoddy and Wally news.

    Would you do:

    A) Play McAuley (double WBA defence vs City) and roll the transfer
    B) Snoddy to Allen, bench Walcott
    C) Snoddy to Stanislas, bench Walcott

Leaning towards B at present as I can't afford any Spurs/Liverpool mids if I took Walcott out.

Man City's best player after KdB

But suffering in comparison to Cout, who has seemingly easier games, better form and a similar price

Lot of man piled from Sterling to Cout earlier this week, making the relative $$ situation a bad look now

not exactly worst case scenario. He wasn't confirmed definitely ready for Tuesday. Maybe he does play Tues, and aggravates the strain, and maybe he doesn't play because it is worse than initially thought.

It will be a grade 1 strain which it is a very minor injury that takes days. Baines had one last year and recovered within the week. He could well play tomorrow although I wouldnt be surprised to see him rested in view of the doubt and the upcoming UCL game, especially if Ramsey can take part.

Can you see Burnley scoring at Old Trafford or Sunderland scoring? Fair point that Leicester are considerably stronger in attack, but WHL has lots of clean sheets to show.

Unfortunately I don't have Sanchez, so it's either Lukaku, Kun, Costa, or Firmino otherwise.

I'm doing the same. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise to loose the Arsenal triple up. Mustafi + Sanchez looks enough Arsenal cover. Coutinho coming in!

Is Daniels on penos? I have 5.0 to get a defender in (others are Valencia, Amat, Bellerin and Pieters)

He isn't on pens but is still a good option! I also like Lovren but appear to be in the minority about that.

Think Stanislas and Wilson are the preferred ones.

Cue the Holebas replies. And Wilson is on penos. Morgan a good option.. from next week though

What are Mata's chances of playing 70+ minutes this weekend?

Worth a one week punt over playing Wally or Capoue? (WCing on Sat)

Can't see him playing more than 70 minutes to be honest, but still a good punt though

I'm looking to ship Sterling very soon, but it depends who you've got on your bench this week.

I did sterling earlier this week.

Given the choice again & the funds I would do walcott.

Sterling has some good fixtures coming up.
Can City really continue their poor spell for much longer with the team available to them ?

First time I think I've ever lost faith in a fit Aguero.

      Thoughts on this potential side?

      Foster
      Vertonghen Stones Coleman
      Sanchez Walcott Son Lallana
      Ibra Wilson Defoe

assume clyne is a stats pick. he's arguably the most overrated pick around imo, maybe players struggle to convert his key passes as they are fired in at such a stupid speed. his shots are also a joke, hit and hope. no composure, i don't rate him at all, he's lucky he's such a great athlete and dogged defender otherwise he would still be at palace

he doesn't have a great goals record that's for sure. I have been tempted though against my better judgement, because of the good stats.

I described him as the "Defensive Ibrahimovic" last week. All the stats but no end product

I'm benching for Walker, Mustafi, Holebas this week. The only time they haven't conceded I had him on the bench so cue clean sheet. Benched Holebas last week!

      a ) Walcott & Snodgrass > Allen & Sterling /
      b ) Snodgrass > Allen & play smith
      c ) Walcott > 8.1m mid or less & play Smith

Wouldnt get Coutinho for a hit, he will probs be on the bench after the International break, which is only 2 gameweeks away.

If you have good bench cover you can easily bench him. Ill have Redmond & Austin as my 5th mid & 3rd fwd so I'm getting him in and benching him in GW12.

Wenger said he has a test today. If he passes that he'll play vs Sunderland. And he should play by tue.

I put him at 50% to play tomm.

Best midfielder in the game when fit imo. Definitely holding.
