The Big Numbers – Gameweek 12

Our first members article of the week delves into the Gameweek 12 data.

We analyse Eden Hazard’s home and away performances and compare Harry Kane’s numbers against last season’s Golden Boot displays.

Victor Anichebe’s impact on Jermain Defoe comes under analysis, while we also run the rule over Watford’s raiding wing-backs, Swansea and Palace’s form midfielders and a downturn in output from Everton’s main man.

Just had some time to see extended highlihts of some games I missed during weekend. And it seems that Mane was hugely involved in Liverpool attack. Should have scored/assisted, was just unlucky or denied by brilliant Saints defending/goalkeeping.

His form is at the top a couple of GW, should have scored a hattrick vs Watford, I think.

Considering this, I am very tempted tu captain him. I'm still keeping both Cout and Mane, have a plan to bring Hazard in for Mane for GW15. Maybe game vs Sunderland is the perfect moment to captain our Senegalese?

Yes, I know, points are spreading three ways at Liverpool midfield. Mane could end scoring a hattrick just the same as blank in a 4-0 victory.

DO you think he is worth considering over Sanchez vs Bour or Ibra vs Wham or Coutinho?

Definitely a good pick. Several of the big hitters look poised for returns this week.

This is the first week where I'm torn between 5 capt choices in Firm and Couts. Mane defo an option also but don't own him

Sanchez depends on how he and Arsenal do today. I would never captain Ibra. And simply because more people would captain Coutinho and Firmino over Mane, Mane is tempting 🙂

I'm going Mane over Coutinho and Hazard. His good day outscores the others imo. Risky but exciting

    Wrong thread, sorry.
    Repost.

Is there anything I am not aware of but Holebas is shown like he isn't playing in RMT for GW13, he surely already missed his one game because of suspension in GW12? Surely it's a mistake.

He's OK to play GW13, right?

He is not flagged on FPL, must be a mistake since he already served his suspension.

So I read in the BBC rumours page that Wenger has said he will give Sanchez a winter break so he doesn't get injured over the busy Xmas period. This sounds reasonable. Does anybody know more about the story like from when he will rest him? I want to keep him for the next 2-3 games as they're easy ones for Arsenal.

If you can do it next week for a hit, I might consider waiting since the first two just might outscore the second two by at least 4 points. Over the long term, the second two should be stronger.

Got 2 FT so would be free this week. Next week, would need to downgrade Lukaku as well if I want the Power 4 midfield. Of course, could easily sell Sanchez->Hazard next week and keep Walcott. Guess will wait til I see how everyone does over the weekend

Leading scorer Sergio Aguero is at the top of the pecking order, with Guardiola preferring to play with a lone striker.

It means Iheanacho has spent much of the campaign watching on from the sidelines.

When asked what would have to happen to get the 20-year-old more first team opportunities, Guardiola said: “Change the coach maybe!

“Of course he deserves to play, but there are many, many others who deserve to play too.

They're not that bad no, but neither are these for less money:

            Kane - Swansea (h), Man United (a), Hull (h), Burnley (h), Southampton (a), Watford (a), Chelsea (h)

            Ibra - Everton (a), Spurs (h), Palace (a), WBA (a), Sunderland (h), Boro (h), West Ham (a)

            Costa - Man City (a), WBA (h), Sunderland (a), Palace (a), Bournemouth (h), Stoke (h), Spurs (a)

Still a risk to get rid of a player who has always scored so well in the Premier League, don't think anyone doubts that.

I reckon if I was to get rid of Aguero it would be for Kane. Ive not listened to the scoutcast yet so ignore my if I am repeating. I am still not going to cosider Costa for 3 reasons

              - Very poor BPs
              - Not on pens
              - 4 YCs

2 of Ibra Kane and Aguer are required though

It all comes down to where you want the bulk of your funds vs potential return. If you feel that midfielders have a higher points potential, shipping Kun to get 4/5 power mids is your best bet.

    Pickford Gundogan Pieters Vertonghen

Which option is better this week guys?

A Gundogan > Snodgrass for free
    B Gundogan & Lukaku > Hazard & Anichebe for -4 play 3-5-2
    C Save FT

I'd save given Hull are playing WBA

      C. Think you look ok and would be better placed to use 2 FT next week. Don't like B as it means playing 2 of Anichebe, Capoue and Arnie every week

Is Son to Walcott for -4 a good move? I have no Sanchez and Son has been rotting on my bench for a few weeks now.

Son has been awful lately, so yeah, go ahead.
Just make sure Walcott isn't sitting this one out due to the baby stuff.
Siggy also worth the transfer IMO

6.5 ITB 0 FT. Which one is better?

    A. Austin + Friend -> Ibra + Alonso (-8)
    B. Austin + Gundogan -> Costa + Walcott (-8)
    C. Capou/Gundogan -> Sanchez (-4)

    Cech
    Holebas Pieters Evans
    Coutinho Firminho Hazard Gundogan Capou
    Aguero Austin

    (Boruc, Anichebe, Kingsley, Friend)

    Note: i'm 3-5-2 die hard fans 🙂

Yeah wasn't keen on losing sanchez but wanted to get coutinho so I could have double liverpool mids and wanted to get rid of gundogan. Would be Sanchez, hazard, gundogan, firminho or walcott, hazard, coutinho, firminho.

After this week's transfer I have front 7 of:

      Cout Firm Haz Alexis
      Deeney Austin Aguero

Happy with this for next 2 rounds, but after that I would want to get rid of Deeno

Alexis and Deeno to Theo and Costa probably the best way to do it ehh?

      Siggy
      Mata Pedro
      Chadli Zaha Moses

          Aguero, Defoe, Austin

Jose has a serious hard on for Ibra, an offer of a contract extension and its not even December. the guy doesn't move, he slows everything down, anyone who watches fooball even on a casual basis can see that. Their best game this season was when he wasn't on the pitch .

4-1 against Leicester was also very good.

If we had him against Arsenal maybe we would've finished a few more chances.

He's an excellent player, great link-up play and I think you can cater for his lack of pace with others' instead.

you dont feel that jose is accomodating him, even perhaps against his better interests? Jose of old would have dropped any player who went as long as he did without scoring. Ibras ego will destabilise that squad if he doesnt play, which he will expect to do all the time, even at 35.

I also don't think his link up play is really adding anything that would not be provided by others (Roo,Mata,Pog).
Ibra dropping in to link up play is actually not helping as he is just congesting the play imo

My new team what do you guys think ?
      Pickford/Forster
      Kos/walker/lovern/Amat/mcauley
      Matic/chadli/fletcher/Sanchez/firmino
      Kane/Kun/Austin

Thoughts on Sanchez/Allen to Ozil/Sigurdsson? All this talk about Sanchez being rested over winter and Giroud pushing him to the left wing is unnerving me.

I have Walcott myself, but I don't feel good about it at all, and am surprised so many are selling Sanchez this week, some for hits!
