Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs Stoke City

Gameweek 18 rolls on this evening as Liverpool welcome Stoke to Anfield in a 5.15pm kick-off.

Owned by over 21% of Fantasy Premier League managers, Sadio Mane’s home form suggests he’s the man most likely to wreak havoc against the Potters – the Senegal international has scored or assisted in six of seven Anfield appearances since arriving from Southampton over the summer.

Divock Origi, with goals in all but one of the last five Gameweeks, retains his starting berth, with Jurgen Klopp set to unleash Daniel Sturridge from the bench once again.

Roberto Firmino also keeps his place as he attempts to end a run of six straight blanks.

For the Potters, Joe Allen is the form player – he’s bagged a goal and assist in the last three Gameweeks as he prepares to face his former club for the first time since moving to the bet365.

Between the posts, Lee Grant has produced at least one save point in each of the last four and should be kept busy again as the hosts look for the win that would see them leapfrog Man City into second.

    Hi all

    My current team is below. I'm trying to work out if I can get sanchez in without too much pain, since arsenal's fixtures are good.

    Origi is the obvious one to drop but I would need to downgrade someone else to get the funds. 0 FT and 1.6m ITB

      I think Payet is a keeper for 9,1 but Lallana is in great form so maybe you can transfer him for someone else?

    How far away from a return is Mandanda? Is the FPL date expected of 14th Jan still looking likely? And will Big Sam drop Hennessey straight away?

    Essentially, I'm wondering how secure Hennessey is at the moment? Palace have a nice run of fixtures and he's a good price to replace Pickford.

      I'd go with 4 instead of 5 , as you can only Captain one of them each week and the impact to the rest of your team probably won't be worth it, so I would go without either Costa or Ibra.

          Do you have Aguero already? if not switch one of them for him. I tried Aguero, Costa & Kane/Lukaku before Aguero got injured, just killed my team elsewhere. Now got Carroll as my third striker, team seems a lot more balanced.

    I am thinking of swopping, Smith for Gabriel or Jones.
