An unprecedented summer podcast arrives following the Fantasy Premier League launch, as Jonty, Andy and Luke join me in the afterglow of a joyous day.

Technically “on the beach” and fighting back to full fitness, we nonetheless brave the airwaves to chime in on the price list, reclassified players and some early formation dancing.

We glory in the potential bargains, lament the overpriced and make bold claims on our lineups that will doubtless be reversed come August 11. If Andy has Chris Brunt in his Gameweek 1 squad, I’ll eat my Free Hit chip.

The FPL Draft game gets a rinsing, and we end the show with our proud declaration of our team ID’s. A conclusion that leaves me feeling rather inadequate even before a ball has been kicked.

      I follow Newcastle and would be very surprised if Krul became the number 1 he wasn't great during his loan, he conceded quite a lot and made a fair few errors.

    I think Ramsey will do very well this season I am very impressed with his points output from two seasons ago.

    I thought I was set on Fabregas but people have convinced me Ramsey is the way to go so thanks for the feedback everyone

          Lol back then Fabregas was an undisputed starter Ramsey wasn't.

          Now things are different im convinced that Ramsey will start more and do more in Arsenal's new system.

          That new Arsenal defender is one to consider too in the new system it's a whole new ball game with Arsenal props to Wenger for reinventing himself again

              Both Ramsay actually got double Fabregas' goals in 2014 and still scored more goals than Fabregas in 2015 despite playing less.

              This is the first season Fabregas isn't a starter his minutes played has just about been halved

                Fun fact, Fabregas scored 50 points more than Ramsey in 2014 so I'm not sure why Ramsey scoring double his goals is relevant

    Picking these players almost entirely on early fixtures but will be checking Pre- season too to see if the likes of Bournemouth, Palace, Southampton and Newcastle in particular are showing some promise of a decent start.

      Aiming for WC in 3/4 is a bad bad way to look at things. Try to pick nailed players from the get go and hold it as long as possible.

    Crazy, I lost all my history on FPL because I changed my email address before the game was released... Have somebody faced the same issue before?

      No I would never change my email address that's an accident waiting to happen.

      I think everything historically is tied to the email address so if that changes then it's gone

      Maybe get in contact with FPL by emailing them and see what they can do

      To start every week I'd say Daniels. Got a decent amount of clean sheets, Ake and Begovic will boost that hopefully. Has proven that he can score and assist a few.

        Only very occasionally though. Can't see KDB getting rested more than 3 or 4 times in the whole season.

          Idk with new competition for the midfield position and more players wanting game time. Plus KDB likely used for Europe cup games and champions league. I think against teams with weaker fixtures KDB will be rested and someone like Yaya takes his place

      He wasn't roatated last season except for twice but Gundogan wasn't back yet and hints are that Bernardo silva will play CM

      But as a midfielder he has Yaya Toure, Gundogan, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, all competing for a CM position.

      Those players need to play too and I think De Nruyne will be used extensively in Europe such as champions league as he's such a good player and may he rested for fixtures against weaker teams

          Maybe not too often but at 10 you can get players that won't be rotated at all. And for 10.5 you can get Jesus who has not been roatated at all as of yet

            What I was thinking originally tbh.. but it came down to Jesus/7.5 vs Defoe/KDB .. once I decided on the latter I haven't looked back 🙂

        Yeah I guess. I feel like they suffered every time he came out of the team. Your probably right that he will get rotated at some point.

        Can't see him getting rested tho for a while after the season kicks off, by then I may have traded him out anyway, but feel good starting with him... he got off to a fast start last season!

              Weekly competition so gameweek rank is more important. Need to smash the end of the season. 3 winners finished top 300 and the other top 5K.

                The end of the season must be brutal with rotation and such. I've only gotten as far as GW 25 in the past.

        That 1m is alot on funds that can rely upgrade a player look at the difference between 4.5 defenders and 5.5 defenders

        They really like Rooney as a forward. Say he's too slow to be a no.10 and be involved in the build up. But if you can leave him up front, from corners, free-kicks and through balls without letting him get tired- his finishing should be what Everton have bought him for.

        Quite interesting, goes against a lot of conventional thought.

        Like they hate Siggy, point out without freekicks and penalties, he's a very average attacker and his valuations are through the roof.
