After Spurs breezed past Newcastle at St James’ Park, Manchester United entertain West Ham United in the final match of Gameweek 1.

The Red Devils’ summer signing Romelu Lukaku is heavily backed for this one, having scored in nine of his last 10 appearances against the Hammers in all competitions for Everton.

The most captained player (28%) in the Gameweek, he was also number one contender in our Captain Poll, earning 38% of the votes.

While Harry Kane proved a bitter disappointment with a one-point return against the Magpies, Lukaku’s response will be eagerly anticipated after a host of premium strikers hit the net over the last two days.

With the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Morata, Roberto Firmino and Jamie Vardy all impressing, there’s no shortage of in-form big-hitters for out three-man frontlines right now.

Three goals and as many assists over pre-season suggests that Henrikh Mkhitaryan could stake a claim for midfield consideration, though the Armenian has been mainly overlooked – he’s owned by 7% to team-mate Paul Pogba’s 21%.

For the Hammers, a big display from former United man Javier Hernandez could have an impact on the overall standings –sitting in 21% of squads, he’s the fourth most popular forward in the game.

    Don't know who to replace Milner with, Walker would be a direct swap but i don't like City's fixtures defensively speaking.

    I could get a 5M Saints defender but that would be a double up for me and i think it's too soon to double up despite the great fixtures.

    I could go for a United DF like Jones but the situation looks a little bit confusing and only Bailly and Valencia are safe bets. Mmhh...

    Kyle Walker(the new one not the old one) seems way too short term and could be replaced with Dier.

        I was thinking of going for a 5M defender in case i wanted to get Mkhitaryan in GW 3. I could upgrade one of my midfielders to him but not if i go for a 5.5M defender.

        Also, i don't like the idea of spending more than 5M on centre backs since they don't offer attacking returns like full backs.

      I don't buy it myself... BUT... i wouldn't get too cocky about it either. If he is taking corners & IFK's for gunners, that's 130/140 points right there for the year. for 5.5 that's not too shabby. Throw in the odd goal or two to cancel out all his YC's & i can see the merits in it.

      This new Arsenal formation has torn up the rule book on FPL players. LCB's popping up in the penalty box, CDM's getting assists to beat the band... and Ramsey is yet to properly come back also.

      You need to consider his price rise. He is going up by .2m until next week probably... imagine if he scores next week?
      Now imagine WC-ing with an extra mil in your pockets (you'd need more than one Xhaka for that though).

      I think with Alli, Eriksen, Salah, Mane and even Mkhi all looking like good options, KDB is just a tad too expensive. I would rather captain Eriksen than captain KDB. Don't see him staying in my team for too long.

        He would appear to be at least .5 too much. I selected him because even though I knew he was a suboptimal pick, I was lured in my Man City but also wanted Kane & Lukaku.

        I'll determine his fate after the Everton fixture I think.

          Yeah it's just the 0.5. He's similar to Eriksen in terms of positioning and how he assists more than he scores. But I think Eriksen is slightly better, FPL wise. Who knows, maybe Brighton's defensive approach is clouding my judgement. Gotta wait and see.

          Atsu passed the eye test for sure, Knockheart only had a few minutes but also looked sharp. Ritchie was practically non existent. Albrighton has amazing delivery and will pick up plenty of points
