This is a very strange experience.

Denied the opportunity to host this week’s ScoutCast by BT’s shortcomings and with the Wildcard active, I am forced to join you and eavesdrop while my decision-making is torn apart by Andy, Jonty, Az and Luke. I have to admit, it’s pretty tortuous.

It’s like my hands are firmly fastened to the couch while the quartet lapdance* their critique around me. How I want to get “involved”.

Aside from appraising my “ill-timed” Wildcard, the boys tackle your other community questions.

They consider the Liverpool double-up, question whether midfield coverage can replace either Kane and Lukaku, debate whether Alonso is essential and then look at how fixtures can shape cheap defensive acquisitions.

I’m pretty sure they answer them all exactly as I would. In fact, listening back, they appear to justify my Wildcard for me. I can hardly wait for next week.

        Yeah he was a bad pick from the start. I"m going to rotate him with Elliot until WC. Hopefully he saves a few penalties and WH tidy up their defence.

        Last season in the championship, Newcastle actually conceded less goals away than at home, and I think they got more cleans sheets away from home too

        Newcastle are no slouch at defending, while Swansea's offense is still very questionable

        Lowe would have to be the one to go to accommodate Abraham, but West Ham are struggling, and Lowe gets forward a bit and could provide offensive returns against West Ham's porous defense; plus he's potentially on penalties

      Bony hasn't been fit for two years. I expect him to start on the bench with no substantial changes other than Sanches playing in midfield somewhere.

      Longer term, I suspect Bony and Abraham are too similar to play together.

                  Thing is, Swans have had 2 easy fixtures where they kept clean sheets, and one tough one where they got humped 0-4.
                  Everton have had 2 tough fixtures that they lost and and easy one they won 1-0 but Holgate didn't play.

                  So Naughton's on the radar, most pop defender to transfer in, and Holgate isn't.

                  This week Everton have a tricky tie but after that good fixtures. Swansea also have a string of good games continuing.

                  For me, Naughton's a solid pick, but since you've got him I'd say Holgate is a great differential.

    I want to get Brady in. Question is who do I take out? Richarlison, Tadic or TC? My other two MFs are Erik and Miki, undroppable.

    Taking out TC will present a benching headache as my third striker is Chicarito so I usually end up playing only 4 MFs.

    Richarlison will do well imo based on stats and the improvement in Watford .

    Tadic great stats but always flatters to deceive so am thinking of him to Brady. But I fear Sod's law that the moment I drop Tadic he will return a monster haul.

    If anyone can cut through this confusion I will be much obliged. Thanks.

      My thoughts:

      Swans aren't scoring, so TC will get you a steady 2-3 points.
      Richarlison - good prospect but nasty run of fixtures looming.
      Tadic - same as TC but more expensive.

      If you lose Tadic it'll give you a million shekels for next week,
      or half a mill for Richarlison, which is always nice.

                Me too at the start of the week, then Mbemba got injured, the only other viable option other than Rosenior is Rangel, but I doubt the latter will get much game time unless there's an injury.

                  I went Mariappa because I plan to hold him all season. Can't see many buying or selling so his price will hold if I do ever have to upgrade him. No 4.0 defender is ever gonna play unless like you said an injury or what not.

        I've got a 5-2-3 with Alonso. My bench is Chalobah, Carroll and Atsu. They rotate well so there's always one to bring in for a defender with a bad fixture.

    Anyone else who got Pogba at 8.0 - on your transfers screen, is his selling price incorrect for you? On my screen his CP is 8.3, PP is 8.0... but SP is only 8.1. have tried on different devices & refreshed etc... WTF
