The Gameweek 4 Team News

Jurgen Klopp confirms that Philippe Coutinho may be lacking match fitness for Liverpool’s trip to Man City. Kieran Trippier is available for Spurs’ clash with Everton but Stoke City look set to be without skipper Ryan Shawcross for the visit of Man United.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has conceded that Philippe Coutinho looks sharp in training after featuring for Brazil over the break. But the midfielder may need to build up his match sharpness ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Man City.

Arsene Wenger will check on late arrivals such as Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey following their international exploits, although it’s anticipated they’ll be available for selection for the home encounter with Bournemouth.

Eddie Howe revealed Simon Francis is expected to be back in contention for the trip to the Emirates following a hamstring injury.

Chris Hughton is expects strikers Tomer Hemed (thigh) and Glenn Murray (ankle) to be fit for Brighton’s home meeting with West Bromwich Albion.

Baggies head coach Tony Pulis has revealed that new arrivals Grzegorz Krychowiak and Kieran Gibbs are lacking match fitness, admitting he has a “big decision to make” about starting them. He also added there are one or two knocks in the squad, but didn’t reveal any names.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has stated that Wayne Rooney will feature at home to Spurs. Jordan Pickford has recovered from the injury that forced him to withdraw from England duties.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Kieran Trippier “is available” to face Everton, though new boy Serge Aurier is less certain to feature.

Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino has no injury concerns for the visit of Watford, with defender Virgil van Dijk now back training with the first-team squad.

Marco Silva revealed Younes Kaboul (leg), Daryl Janmaat (muscle problem) and Roberto Pereyra (groin) have all returned to training for Watford over the past few days, with the former two more likely to be available at St Mary’s.

Ryan Shawcross is set to miss Stoke City’s home encounter against Manchester United with a fresh back injury, while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will be assessed, having picked up a hamstring problem during the international break.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement anticipates that new arrivals Wilfried Bony and Renato Sanches will both be involved against Newcastle United. Jordan Ayew has recovered from illness.

And Eden Hazard could be set for his first league appearance of the season as Chelsea make their way to Leicester – the winger played 91 minutes for Belgium over the break after finally recovering from an ankle complaint.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Same issue here. Worth keeping? My bench is terrible:

      Foster (Elliot)
      Hegazi Bertand Jones (Mbemba, Mariapa)
      Willian Miki Ali Sane (Carrol)
      Jesus Lukaku Gabi

Keeping this week. I think Hazard is likelier to get a sub appearance on Saturday, then start at home to Qarabag on Tuesday. Even if he does start, Willian's been excellent so far (in his all-round play, rather than his fantasy potential), and I don't see him being benched for Pedro yet. I could be wrong, though!

Will likely get rid before GW5, unless he scores well at Leicester, but could do with another week to assess the alternatives.

    Who to bench this week?

    Jones (stk)
    Suttner (WBA)
    Dawson (bha)
    Stephens (WAT)

Additional dilemma - follow the nerds and do Willian ➡ Brady? I'm sorely tempted even though I think Willian will start this week...

Just had a peek at your team - I think you're in such good shape, that I probably would make the Brady move - I'm keeping Willian for another week and saving my transfer, but that's because I'd like to have the option to get Alli or Firmino in for free next week - you already have both!

    How's this WC team? Gtg?

    Foster
    Lowe - Cedric - Bavies - Jones
    Eriksen - Mkhi - Brady - Salah
    Lacazette (C) - Lukaku (VC)

    Elliot, Abraham, Maguire, T.Carroll
    2.5 ITB

True, but I don't know who else to bench instead. Would have to be either Bavies or Lowe, but both have got decent potential for offensive returns, especially Lowe if he's on penalties. Maybe Bavies will be the one to get benched given how strong Everton are at home :/

If another 4m defender drops tonight take them over Tuanzebe, 3rd Man U slot might come in useful at some point.

Yeah thanks, Hunemeier seems to be the closest 4.0 to drop

Ooh, hadn't seen we might have 3.9 defenders, that's my extra .1 sorted.

Why do you pick Dunk and TAA?
Upgrade Dunk and downgrade TAA to 4.0

I think BHA have some decent fixtures - don't you? He is a goal threat too?

Is it insane to swap Lukaku to Morata this week? or wait until next week?
I just wanna try Pogba+Mkhi with no Lukaku

Suttner and Carroll on the bench could be a lot of bench points this weekend.. always a worry

            WC team

            Foster (Elliot)

            Jones Cedric Mee (Naughton Wimmer)
            Alli Salah Brady Mooy
            Kane Lukaku Firmino

I have £1.5m in bank. I could have Morata instead of Firminho if I can fine 0.1m more (downgrading Mooy most likely). Is this worth it?

Morata instead of Kane would greatly improve that awful midfield

I won't be getting rid of kane. I want to upgrade Mooy however the extra £1.5m only gets me to a £7.0m replacement. Did think about Ramsey but unsure.
