Yes I had him for a few GWs last season and he did nothing. Also, he's annoying to watch.

To me it seems that every year he has a period (normally early on, up to October or November) where he looks really good, and then goes on to disappear. Didn't he score a hat-trick or something two seasons ago, only to not score another goal (or something like that)? I feel like this conversation took place last year as well.

in footballing terms and in regard to what seems to be consensus is that Sterling is a lesser gifted player than the rest of his team-mates. I´m not the one to go into debate about it and i don´t like him much, displeasing from an aestethic point of view (in footballing terms) but what people seems to forget that he does contribute to the City team as a unit because he has qualities that combines well with the other. He runs down the channels, he is constantly running into the box, both as a target and also to obstruct defenders from Jesus or Kun. He runs alot, which means he is tracking down players, gives energy to the play, both offensively and defense-wise, he is also underrated when it comes to the tacticial part of the game, if you look at how he defendshe is quite good at it, aside from Firmino and some other he is one of the better attacking minded players in the defense department, which is crucial to the way Guardiola likes to play. This may sounds like an apology for Sterling, but is isn´t.

Thanks all - current plan was to WC in GW12 as Naughton & Carroll have decent fixtures for 3 of the next 4. One of these moves this week....

A) Foster & Phillips -> Forster & Redmond/Choupo/Shaq

B) Foster & Lukaku -> Sterling & Morata (if fit)

C) Foster & Lukaku -> Cout & Vardy

I definitely wouldn't wildcard this week. Mbemba or Long to Meet/Ward and play 4-3-3

I would downgrade Alonso before Kola.

I don't know tbh mate. None of them seem that reliable, need longer to see if Choupo isn't just a flash in the pan. Gross plays for a side poor going forwards, Brady plays in a sider that doesn't score much but has set pieces. I've got Brady and think I'll just hold for now, although he could be on his last legs in my side shortly. Most promising atm seems to be Choupo but not sure the returns will keep coming

If i had Miky i would def ditch him.Simply not worth it imo.Lots of better choices.

I think I'm also keeping him for two more, can't justify a hit to remove him when he's ticking along, as you say, that Stoke game makes his numbers look worse than they are.

There's a bit of KDB about it in the sense that loads sold him because he didn't do more than others then he produced, patience worked on that one.

Not sure about Alonso Azpi double up for WC

I would downgrade Alonso and improve Simpson plus keep spare cash to bring back Lukaku when Man U fixtures improve
