Technical Area – The Rise of Ben Davies

It’s been quite a start to the season for Ben Davies. Currently leading all defenders in terms of points with 49 – a number which trails only Sergio Aguero and Romelu Lukaku at any position – the Welshman’s form is inarguable.

In the six matches in which he has featured (Davies was rested for Spurs’ home encounter with Swansea in Gameweek 5), he has returned an average of 8.2 points per match (ppm) – more than a point clear of his closest rival (Antonio Valencia’s 6.7).

Last season, Davies performed admirably while deputising for the injured Danny Rose – racking up a goal and three assists, in addition to his share of Spurs’ league-leading clean sheet total. However, his attacking returns this campaign (two goals, three assists) have already exceeded last season’s totals in just 30% of the minutes.

In order to better interpret this attacking leap, we’ll be breaking down Davies’ early-season heroics, and looking for players who might serve as good benchmarks for projecting the Welshman’s performance over the remainder of the campaign.

It's funny before I used to associate casual with a football fan part of a firm. Now because of the this place I associate with a negative connotation.

Wildcard active - 3/4/3 team currently as below:

    Forster
    Azpi Davies Monreal
    Hazard Sterling Sane Big Fella
    Joselu Kane(C) Jesus(V)

Elliot Ward Mbemba Surman SV 100.6M 0.1 ITB

    GTG Guys?
Think I've hopefully come up with an affordable team to cover good run of fixtures for form teams Spurs, Chelsea and Man City, with enough "nailed" cover if rotation hits. I know that Sane, Sterling and even Jesus could be classed as punty, but surely this is their time? Enablers Fellaini and Joselu bit too punty?
    Thanks Guys!

I'd replace RLC with Fellaini. B with Luiz instead of Alonso, Monreal for Hune and Ward for Stones.

Fellaini may score more often, Alonso will be rested to due to congested fixtures often, Monreal with good fixtures and Stones will go to the bench with Kompany lurking

Glad to share your opinions here please.
3 top heavy upfront and 4 heavy back makes the mid line weak.
As i see though,Alonso,Davies, Kola and 3 front are season keepers.
    What would you change here?

    --Elliot
    --Alonso--Davies--Kola--Jones
    --Silva--Richie--Gross
    --Kane--Luk--Jesus
    ///Foster///Suttner///Chalobah///King

    1.0itb.
    a) Downgrade Kola and Suttner and bring in Coutinho/Salah for Richie.
    b) upgrade Suttner to Otamendi and leave mid as it is.
