The ScoutCast – Episode 235 – Swingers

Careering out of the international break at speed, the ScoutCast returns in anticipation of a turning point in our seasons.

We’ve been chattering for several weeks on the much anticipated “fixture swing”, and now we’re all set to put ourselves at its mercy.

What does it mean for our Fantasy line-ups?

In truth, with multiple transfers and Wildcards at our disposal, Jonty, Andy, Luke and myself started this latest episode still seeking our own answers. Over almost 90 minutes and with your community questions providing the steer, we do our best to reach some conclusions.

We weigh up Manchester United exit plans, Liverpool’s blunted attack and Jamie Vardy’s recuperation techniques, before previewing Gameweek 8 in the usual hap-hazard style.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

If Cedric drops to 4.9m before the GW deadline could be better than VVD as Jones placeholder. Keeping Jones myself as United will park bus and find 2 clean sheets out of the next 4 (Huddersfield +1).

I'm not planning to use 2 FT's though. Which almost certainly would have to happen if I go Cedric over VVD.

It looks like Hegazi is going to drop tonight. If I move now I can do:

Hegazi+Atsu->Otamendi+Stephens(or other 4.5(got Caroll as well)

    Got 2 FT

    Is it worth it?

          • 6 Years

That's exactly my thinking. There are 2 or 3 double game weeks normally after January. This leaves the 1) Wilcard 2) Freehit 3) Triple Captain for each of those. We cannot use two chips at once, so Bench Boost is surely best used when it looks productive and is probably not a good double gameweek option.
