Dugout Discussion – Brighton vs Everton

After tucking into Saturday’s huge goal-pie helping supplied by Manchester City, we can’t help but think that today will arrive as an anti-climax. More “Sedate Sunday” than “Super”.

But Brighton and Everton may surprise us – certainly both sides are in need of a victory to pep up their seasons.

From a Fantasy perspective, the pickings are slim.

Pascal Gross is unquestionably the most interesting asset on show, having picked up over 109,000 new owners ahead of today’s clash and a favourable spread of fixtures for the Seagulls. He starts today’s match as part of 14.1% or 740,000+ squads.

Thanks to Everton’s malaise that makes the German playmaker the most popular player on show.

Certainly, Wayne Rooney’s Fantasy stock has been in decline since Gameweek 2 – the last time he returned points via a goal at Manchester City. That strike and the Toffee’s performance that night seems a world away from the current form, with Ronald Koeman’s side and Rooney struggling for a foothold since.

They must surely avoid defeat following the reverse at home to Burnley in Gameweek 7, and with that in mind, today’s lunchtime encounter looks destined for few goals and little incident. We shall see.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Currently without any City assets. Which one?

    A) Kolasinac, Mkhi, Ramsey, Hemed > Daniels, RLC, Richarlson, Kun -12

    B) Kolasinac, Erik, Hemed > Daniels, Richarlson, Kun -8

Have Mkhi and very easy to do to Silva or Sterling, but he has HUD. I have no Lukaku.

I think any of the City mids might be rested after the CL game.

What about Firmino + Kola to Morata + Ward (-4)?

After reviewing both teams' starting XIs, we have decided to award clean sheet points to both Brighton and Everton already so that we can save ourselves the trouble later.

Watching MOTD last night, few questions.

    1. I never saw the supposed Salah dive on there at all. Was there nothing in it then?

    2. That Lukaku "stamp" thing. Were people serious during the game about a potential ban for that? I thought it was minimal and totally accidental.

I actually don't own either of these and my main rival has both so bans would suit me but I saw nothing to suggest a ban might follow at all.

People trolling for both. Probably the first one more so. I don't own Lukaku and there was nothing in that "stamp". Lovren just acting like a b*tch

Tbh I was disappointed when I saw it. I was hoping for something juicier so he would get a ban. When I saw it I was like "Is that it? That's not even a booking"

funny thing is if you watch a game of womans football there is no play acting or diving or any of that bullsh*t.

Acting like a typical premier league footballer is more apt

Dives will only lead to bans if they successfully deceive the ref. In this case the ref just told Salah to get up.

Nothing in the Lukaku thing. Just two clumsy players coming together.
