The Technical Area – Leicester Under Analysis

After a disappointing 2016/17 campaign in which a post-title hangover dragged Leicester City down to twelfth place, things appear to be back on track at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes sit comfortably in eighth spot, within touching distance of a European spot, and, more crucially, their Fantasy Premier League (FPL) assets are once again ticking over.

Having earned a much-deserved point at Stamford Bridge over the weekend (despite playing the final quarter with just 10 men), Leicester’s fixtures now turn strongly in their favour. Four of their next six matchups see the Foxes entertain lower-ranked opposition in the form of Watford, Swansea, Stoke, and Bournemouth – encouragingly, they are the only four teams who failed to collect a clean sheet in the last six Gameweeks.

With such an appealing slate on the horizon, this week’s Technical Area will be analysing Leicester’s Fantasy assets in detail to identify the outstanding FPL options within their ranks.

      To be honest it's pretty unclear. You would imagine he'd be locked into one of the wing slots but could be either, and I don't think you can easily say that one player in particular will miss out because there's been lots of rotation in those positions this year already. On balance I'd stay away from any of their other mids until it becomes clearer.

      He's likely to take Mata's place unfortunately. Martial is in pretty decent form and I think it would destroy him at United if he kept getting benched.

      I like B as it gives you 8 players who actually play rather than C where you're stuck with an injured RLC.

              Kenny’s place to lose. However Coleman is back in training and probably will be brought back eventually.

              BFS seems to like young Holgate. Will rotate with ageing Jagielka and Williams. There Keane as well in the mix.

              Think At the moment Kenny is still the one to go for.
              Martina needs to go but Baines can’t handle playing every game when fit. If no left back is signed then consider Him.

    'Best evidence is where you are in your MLs / OR
    Doing well = Salah. Consistency (Higher floor)
    Doing OK but wanting a push = Kane. Explosiveness (Higher ceiling)
    Needing a differential = Kun. Less owned
    Whichever best suits your side.'

    Like the floor/ceiling approach BUT how does EO impact this weeks captaincy decision, especially for Aguero owners?

    if I captain Kane and he blanks, but Aguero hauls, I still may get a slight rank boost
    if I captain Aguero and he blanks, but Kane hauls, I'm doomed

    I'm really tempted to do Lingard > Arnautovic. Main attacking threat in a West Ham side that have a really solid run of fixtures. Just can't decide whether I should do it now or wait since Lingard is much better away than home.

    Apologies for the stupid question but if I activate wildcard can I cancel it before the game week starts if I don't want to use it? Or is it once activated you're locked in?
