The ScoutCast – Episode 248 – Yogic

Jonty may just have stumbled on the perfect strategy with his newfound flexibility. Reserving millions in the bank, his squad is set up to react to the seismic shifts taking place, as Fantasy managers consider new players and formations.

Andy and an angry old-filled Az join me in forming the ScoutCast quartet, as we bounce off another round of community questions inspired by the changing landscape.

An appraisal of the 3-4-3, a full review of the deadline day arrivals and discussion on defensive surgery provide the spine of the show, before we embark on a Gameweek preview featuring an all-star cast of new Fantasy Island risks.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Thursday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Best Christensen replacement?

    A) Robertson
    B) Gomez
    C) Chillwell
    D) Simpson

A and B are rotation risks. Fancy buying A myself but can’t bring myself to doing so.

I'm not sure, they seem to be playing quite regularly. Gomez looks slightly more nailed as TAA could come in for Robertson.

Robertson for attacking returns sways it for me. The lad is in the box more than Mané.

Interesting. Charlie Daniels another option. It's very tough. There's a lot of maybes and no clear candidate

    So my team is:

    Ederson (Elliot)
    Jones, Ognonna, Kenny (Kabasale, Hunemeir)
    Sterling, Salah, Hazard, Albrighton, Chipotle
    Kane, Aguero (Quaner)

Nothing in the bank, 1 free transfer. Kenny out for Chilwell or something else?

Which spurs mid is most vulnerable to rotation with arrival of Moura ?

    A) Alli

    B) Eriksen

    C) Son

    D) Neither (Moura will be eased in and poch would not disrupt his team rythm)

    1. The Albatross

      C

        1. The Albatross

I understand Moura plays left wing, also, I think Alli & Erikson are pretty much assured a place, although I suppose they'll get the odd rest

      2. HurriKane
        • 11 Years

Son has been involved in 11 goals in last 10 pl starts (6 goals 5 assists)

Why bench him when he's in such great form ?

        1. Karan14

I think people just saying Son because the other options are Alli & Eriksen.

yh alli the golden boy it seems. . no one wants to touch him despite being average this season.;)

Son works his arse off every game and give so much effort unlike dele who gives the ball away with a fancy move

    2. Karan14

D or maybe all can be rotated during CL. He has Lamela as an option too.

i beg to differ. if poch has any ball he should rotate alli.who has been poor this season.

so has been spurs most effective attacker after kane this season. id go with the team below

        Kane
        (Moura/Alli) Eriksen Son
        Dembele Dier

        1. Joggers Nipple
          • 14 Years
          6 years, 4 months ago

Agree with all you saying here but still feel Son most at risk (Son owner myself)
Dropping Alli takes balls (unsure of his form to be fair) while dropping Son is relativily consequence free. Wrong I know but its what I think will happen

Have Gomes and Elliot so no goalkeeper. Who’s the best cheap option?

Defence is Alonso, Jones, Ogbonna, Dunk, Kenny. Would rather not double with these but doesn’t leave me many options.

    A Fab
    B Foster
    C Hennessey (horrible fixtures!)
    D another Newcastle goalie
    E other??

    Foster
    Jones Alonso Ogbonna
    Salah Sterling Son Choupo-Moting Lingard

save or B - an extra FT will come in useful over coming GWs and you will be able to field 11 players with decent return chances

Have the same issue: Either upgrade DCL to wilson or save FT.

Will play ogbonna if I save the FT.. Leaning towards saving the extra FT to use over the coming GWs

    Kane / Firmino / Wilson

hello everyone care to advise on whether to take a hit or not? just worried about the defence rotation

    pope

    sterling(v), salah, lingard, son
    (k)ane, firmino, Wilson

    Elliot // shaq, masuaku, mbemba

Mahrez > Walcott seems to set up future transfers for me quite nicely, would leave me this with 2.3itb

    Pope
    Otamendi Jones Duffy
Salah Sterling (C) Walcott Son Lingard
    Kane Firmino

    Elliot Ogbonna Quaner Kenny

Can then do Kenny > Maguire / VVD (GW31 in mind) with 1.2itb. Then sort out Pope and Lingard

    Agree?

For me it will be Aguero. He has not dissapointed me the last two weeks.. would not even chance it if I had Lukaku or Sanchez. I think Klopp will give his apprentice some solid advice on how to deal with united.. could see united getting a narrow 1-0 win.

    Hi folks,

Is martial nailed for this GW?
I'm considering going son => martial.
I thinks he can be a strong differential for the next two GW.

    Thanks !

what do you plan to do on GW31, your current team may only have francis, salah, Walcott, bauer and Wilson starting
      FH or transfer players in?
