Dugout Discussion

Dugout Discussion – Bournemouth vs Spurs

After Arsenal returned to winning ways against Watford at the Emirates, Sunday’s action concludes as Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur go head-to head at the Vitality Stadium.

In light of a rare failure for Mohamed Salah at Old Trafford yesterday, all eyes turn to Harry Kane, the number one captain for Gameweek 30 in Fantasy Premier League.

Handed the armband by 27.3% of managers and captained by 62 of the top 100, he’s scored more goals (13) away from home than any player in the top-flight this term.

Furthermore, Kane hit a hat-trick in his only away encounter against the Cherries, back in 2015/16.

Elsewhere for the visitors, interest in Son Heung-min was on the rise after a 16-point haul against Huddersfield last week. Second only to Leroy Sane for transfers in (169,000+) for Gameweek 30, the South Korean starts again and will attempt to improve a run of just one away goal this season.

In defence, though, there’s bad news for Ben Davies’ 24% FPL owners – the Welshman is omitted from today’s squad due to “general fatigue”, ending a run of nine straight league starts. Over 663,000 acquired the left-back over the last four Gameweeks.

For Bournemouth, Josh King starts on the bench after missing most of training this week due to a neck problem.

With a home clash against West Brom as one of only four fixtures in Gameweek 31, interest in the Cherries is bound to escalate if they can deliver today.

Some of the filthiest jammy points in a while though! One decent cross from many poor efforts, had a poor game in general. The final masterstroke, was about to be subbed for Trippier and as he was walking to the touchline Rose went down so the sub was made for Rose instead of him. And popped up for a header from a Begovic error where Rose would have been. 😀

GW31 feels like one of those weeks where the unexpected could happen. I actually think a Palace defender may be the best option - sounds crazy I know, but with Zaha back they will be a different proposition and Huddersfield are not that good.

      No idea 😀
I’d probably get him back on a WC 32/33 especially if Kane is still out by then

Keeping, the away thing as proven tonight is just a myth. Correlation doesn't imply causation. Can see him scoring against chelsea and stoke in all honesty.

I was going to leave him with the fixtures like you say, but i think he’s a must now on WC with this Kane Injury

Is there an article for those playing the wildcard in gw 32? admittedly I've been kinda lead by Scoutcast discussions on the bgw but I've looked no further ahead on who I should be prioritising for my wildcard.

Aubameyang & Vardy may be very popular if WCing in 32.
Would aid a heavy hitting midfield.

Kane out for a month would really shake things up.

Yes that's what I was referring to along with Aguero's injury.
        Makes it interesting.

I think the biggest impact might be on those who planned to wc in 33 if we have a few injuries.

May need hits to field team in 32 or a rethink.

Are people taking hits in GW31?

Whether they cost -2 or -4, will you really be up points-wise if you only have 1 gameweek to get them back?

If they score 5 or more, yes.

Probably take one for zaha or shaqiri as they have the potential to haul. But not for a defender.

      1 hit perhaps

      Alonso > Baines
      KDB > Zaha
Kane (depending on injury length) > Someone

      Field 11

I using to get rid of some deadwood at the same time, e.g. Simpson, T.Carroll out and players like PVA and Shaqiri in who I'll want for the rest of the season anyway.
Kinda justifies a 8/12 point hit that way.

I took a hit for Coleman this week, I could ditch Kenny this week for another hit but won't do it for a defender. Just 1 transfer and will field 10 + Kenny in the hope he is in squad and gets subbed on.
