The Big Numbers – Gameweek 32

Next up, we take our post-Gameweek delve into the members’ data to assess some of the standout players across the previous round of fixtures.

With Double Gameweeks shaping our plans, Arsenal’s new goal hero, Chelsea’s recent lack of resilience and the form of Man City’s playmaker all come under analysis.

Burnley and Newcastle’s budget frontmen also catch the eye, while we also run the rule over a Fantasy slump for a Stamford Bridge big-hitter.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Elliot Baines Walcott Shaqiri and Deeney out
DDG Lowton Son Gudmundson and Barnes in

It's a horrible -16, but leaves your team in something resembling shape

Deeney has Burnley at home this week.

Burnley don't concede many, and Deeney doesn't score many. Not to mention Burnley play twice in GW34 and also play in GW35 (the only yeam to do so).

The real benefit of the Burnley players is that it allows a real upgrade for one of Theo/Shaqiri to Son and from your non-playing keeper to the top scoring keeper in the game, while still keeping the possibility of points alive

Anyways, GL with whatever you choose to do

But that then leaves me 2 players shorter for 35 if I lose Shaqiri and Walcott.
3 if I lose Baines as well and Deeney also plays in 35

Agreed, it is a balancing act. But Baines and Deeney are replaced by players with a GW35 fixture, and you will accumulate two more FTs between now and then. One option would be to carry on relying on Foster and use the saving to bring in an Arsenal defender (play 35, DGW to be arranged and excellent fixtures). But with Foster as your only keeper, and WBA unable to keep clean sheets, I would have made getting a better keeper option a priority.

Unfortunately your team has suffered from your attempts to field as many as possible in GW31 without a WC to rectify that. Whether you let that slide to get those same players that let you down in GW31 on the field in GW35 is your choice

In the 5-7m bracket for mids there aren’t any better options than these for DGW34 right?

    Willian
    Lingard
    Groß
    Gudmundsson

Seems such a small pool of players and to fit the big hitters I need 2 of these.
Barnes my 3rd striker so not sure about double Burnley attack that leaves only 3 options.

Ended up with this team on a WC:

    DDG - Ryan

    Alonson - Smalling - Lowton - Morgan - Stephens

    Salah - Mahrez - Willian - Son - Gross

    Aub - Vardy - Barnes

    0.3 ITB

    Planning to BB GW34

    Can't decide between these changes:

    A) Aub + Son -> Kane + Lingard
    B) Aub + Gross -> Lukaku + Gudmonson

I can't find a way to bring in Kane + Lukaku in 2 moves.

Nothing to lose anymore so here is my WC team:

    Ryan Hennessy
    Cedric Chilwell Lowton Masuaku vdH
    Sanchez Willian Gross Kenedy Gudmunsson
    Lukaku Kane Aubameyang

Am I nuts? Would you balance out the midfield a bit rather than having Sanchez?

I like the maverickness to this team

This is how I plan to look for 34:

      Lloris
      Robertson - Maguire - Smalling
      Hazard - Mahrez - Lingard - Mili
      Kane - Lukaku - Vardy

No FH left, WC in 35 and BB in 37

If he gets dropped at all, it will be this week I think. Otherwise he should see the duration of the season I think. Dyche has used all the excuses he can to postpone this decision, and it comes down to this game.

Just that Heaton is finally properly fit. Dyche last week said something along the lines of "I'm taking it slow with Heatons injury, he's fit but Pope plays this week" but Heaton should be pushing him to make a decision this week.

Pope deserves to keep his place.

The idea that people suggest on here is that Heaton should play to put himself into World Cup contention is ridiculous. No chance Heaton goes to the World Cup.

Completely agree, and if we’re taking WC in consideration then that argues for Pope, not Heaton.

However I interpret Dyche’s comments on the matter as if though he’s implying other wise. But I do think it would be madness, with them going for a spot in Europe and all

I think he carries on starting personally, Dyche would be as good as signing a death warrant for his World Cup hopes if he hooked him for Heaton now.

Not sure I would be confident enough to include him in my FPL team though 🙂

      Yes definitely

I am 362k OR and binned firmino and richarlison > kane + mcarthur (-4) this week.

For 34 I plan to bin Salah + Zaha > Hazard + Lingard (no FH or TC left - only WC and BB)

I'd disagree with Salah being a "must have"

The majority will not be captaining him so if there is a week to not own him - this is it.

I agree - if you are WCing this week and eliminate the DGWs (34 and 37), are FHing 35 and could FT him in for GW38, you are effectively only losing him as a captaincy option for GW33 (eve, where you wouldn't captain him anyway probably) and GW36 (STO). Obviously GW36 looks mint, but which ever of the big guns you don't have you will miss out on plum fixtures for.

Down 82 in my main ML, leader has Barnes.

Which cheapish 3rd striker should I go for - Wood or Austin? I don't have FH left.

        It's not enough.....kane cost is 12.7, it's very very high.....for only 3 GW.
