Monitor – Alexis Sanchez

Having struggled to make an impact in his opening matches for Manchester United, Alexis Sanchez has made a timely return to form ahead of Double Gameweek 34.

Back-to-back double-digit hauls against Swansea and Man City, denying the latter of the title at the Etihad Stadium, has reignited confidence in the Chilean’s Fantasy prospects.

With Jose Mourinho’s men set for a kind pair of fixtures against West Brom and Bournemouth, Sanchez looks a ready-made differential in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), boasting a 3% ownership.

In this latest Monitor article for members’, we run the rule over Sanchez’s recent form for the Old Trafford outfit to assess whether he could be worth the hefty 11.5 outlay.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Looks like a very strong team and you should score well. I don't see much chance of other DGW players gaining much on you, unless Sanchez and Eriksen have big weeks.

Your best options would be to ditch King for someone else playing twice and inside your price range. You have to see it as a likely expenditure of only two points given most players will score at least two. Best options in my eyes are Cork and Matic. Cork is probably better, especially if you don't have free hit.

No did Auba to Kane with FT. Yeah been thinking about it but can't see anyone I fancy in that price, might just keep as will be good for GW37 as well and doesn't have a bad fixture in GW34

Picking Man United defenders is a nightmare, but what’s obvious is that they are better with Jones:

    With Jones:
    Played 20
    Clean Sheets 13
    65% clean sheets

    Without Jones:
    Played 12
    Clean Sheets 3
    25% clean sheets

Mourinho must be aware of this. So he’s either on the cusp of a return or the fallout was huge and he’s finished at United?

If United are going to challenge for the title next season then Sanchez has to be allowed to play with more freedom. JM has allowed him more room to play over the last 3 games hence he's getting more points. If this continues then he looks assured of points for the remainder of the season while some key fantasy assets look to be on their holidays.
