The ScoutCast – Episode 259 – Smooth

Just as we witnessed in Gameweek 31, the Free Hit chip does its thing, granting the ScoutCast crew and many in the Fantasy Football Scout community the smoothest of landings as we begin preparations for another Double Gameweek take-off.

Jonty, Andy and Az join me for the Gameweek 35 post-mortem, as, driven by your questions, we ponder whether this season’s debut chip has rendered the blanks as the best opportunity for a rank hike.

However, this is no time to rest on our laurels, with another double-header looming. That fuels discussion on Manchester City, Spurs and even Swansea City’s players; assets at opposite ends of the Fantasy spectrum, united by the potential of two fixtures in Gameweek 37.

To invest in those spoils, we need to make sacrifices, so we assess the midfield makeweights and ponder if Marcos Alonso can finally shake Jonty’s curse, or whether we should all cash in on the Blues banned wing-back.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

Imagine feeling players need a rest because they have small things. Is it because they have to try harder?

Bottomed since no answer (hot topic, but late there) and I feel I have tried to share the public info we have here pretty much.

I was trying to be clever with wc32 and now this is no longer fun. I paid .1 for captain Morgan over Chilwell (nailedness), kept Robertson thinking City to beat Liverpool, have also banned Alonso and injured Fernandez (che).

    My defence looks like this:

Valencia, Alonso, Robertson, Morgan, Fernandez (Lloris)
(Sterling, Son, Willian, Kenedy, Cork )
    (Kane, Kaku,Vardy)

Worst case scenario is only Valencia starting this week. BB37 strategy going not as planned. I thank you for help in advance. 1.1 itb

It isn't as bad as you think. Alonso will be back for the double. Robertson should start next week (maybe even this week). We'll get to know more about Morgan being rested or dropped this week.

Wait for Leicester and Swansea pressers to get more info on them and then make your transfers.

I've read what he said at the presser and it sounds like he will field a full strength team to me.

"We are desperate as well. From my point of view this is the game of the season. It's a final for us."

"There won't be a thousand changes. It's an important Premier League game."

Klopp isn't going to do any huge tinkering for the game against Stoke, he says.

Guys I am a Salah owner but stand back and look at the facts. No way Salah will start this weekend. All risk and no return.

Liverpool B team will beat Stoke.
Wednesday the biggest game in the last 10 years for LFC who will travel on Monday,
They can draw against CFC next week and secure top 4 ( assuming CFC win this wknd )
Bournemouth last home game to secure top if all of the above fails....

I would love Salah to play but other than golden boot absolutely no reason.

This. If they don't win this and then lose to Chelsea which is hardly an upset then they really could miss out on top 4.

Are you deluded? Salah starts 100%. Klopp just reiterated the importance of tomorrow's game. Think of it this way. Liverpool lose or draw tomorrow and lose at Chelsea. Liverpool miss out on Champs league spot, make the final, but then have to win the final to play in Champs League next season. No way will Klopp want that. Expect a strong Liverpool team tomorrow. Over 4 days rest. And Klopp has talked about rhythm recently.

He seems to be but you never know with a cup final not far off...Lukaku was "nailed" too and Mourinho rested him. Difference with a defender is that they won't even be given a cameo where they can rack up points like a mid or forward.

puels job on the line apparently. Leicester have in a quite sneaky fashion been a bit sh*t for quite a while now but its never been mentioned.

4 wins in last 17 games doesn't lie.

Puel trying to implement a new playing style with players that can't fit with it, plus trying to deal with the huge issue Captain Morgan likely presents as Mr Player Power.

I think given the kind of manager he is, if he's allowed to have the summer window Leicester will be better off than if they fire him.

This is exactly the same a year ago with Saints. Saints going down now after sacking him. Won't be so drastic at Leicester but surely Puel deserves a full season to bring some players in and implement his style. Too much player power at Leicester.

Hi guys. I’m currently 188th in the world and am aiming to finish on a high and secure a top 100 finish.

My team at the moment with no hits looks like this:

    De Gea
    Smalling - Azpiliceuta - Cedric
    Gross - Willian - Son - Sterling - Mahrez
    Kane - Jesus

    Bench:

    Ryan - Morgan - Barnes - Lowton

Are there any changes which you think may be worth a -4 hit? I’m considering these 2 at the moment.

    1) Ayew in for Barnes (Ayew to replace Gross in starting 11)
    2) Arnautovic in for Willian as have serious doubt Willian will play many minutes this week

Are either of these 2 worth a -4? Other suggestions are welcomed. Thanks in advance.
