The ScoutCast – Episode 259 – Smooth

Just as we witnessed in Gameweek 31, the Free Hit chip does its thing, granting the ScoutCast crew and many in the Fantasy Football Scout community the smoothest of landings as we begin preparations for another Double Gameweek take-off.

Jonty, Andy and Az join me for the Gameweek 35 post-mortem, as, driven by your questions, we ponder whether this season’s debut chip has rendered the blanks as the best opportunity for a rank hike.

However, this is no time to rest on our laurels, with another double-header looming. That fuels discussion on Manchester City, Spurs and even Swansea City’s players; assets at opposite ends of the Fantasy spectrum, united by the potential of two fixtures in Gameweek 37.

To invest in those spoils, we need to make sacrifices, so we assess the midfield makeweights and ponder if Marcos Alonso can finally shake Jonty’s curse, or whether we should all cash in on the Blues banned wing-back.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

      Similar enough to me. You'll be sweating over starts for Morgan, Christensen, Willian. Christensen may no longer be first choice.

        Thanks, its just that ars will put out a terrible side this week and I think Lukaku will bully them, I do really want Jesus next week however... Still considering it.

        Ive got enough to go Mahrez to Sterling, kinda tempted by that as well

    DDG / Ryan
    Alonso / Bailly / Morgan / Lowton / Long
    Mahrez / Son / Willian / Gross / L Cook
    Kane / Jesus / Vardy

    GW36: (-8) Bailly+Gross > Davies+Silva
    GW37: (FT) Mahrez > Sterling
    GW38: (- 4) Willian/Son + Vardy > Salah+[5.4]

    Sound like a decent plan? Could also split out the -8 to a -4 for GW37 instead?

    Also half tempted with another hit for Morgan > [Swans DEF] but it may be one too many?

            cheers Jam - appreciate the thoughts, it's certainly a tough call and I'm wary of the fact he will have Sterling on his WC, but Mahrez is due. it was always the plan to bulk buy City this week, but now I'm here it's a tough call!

      Think Rambo is a risk this week, but could be awesome DGW... I'd honestly be tempted by Arnie tbh
      Otherwise : Love. It. (expection Lingard, who I also own!)
      I'd be quite tempted to trile up on UTD defence for this double... rather have Jones for 1 game than Lingard for 2, Lingard > Kenedy perhaps?

            I'm annoyed with myself for making the early move... my first move in hindsight would be Mahrez > Sterling...then think long and hard about the Kak switch for a hit. Chasing rival is almost certain to have both Jesus and Sterling so think I have to cover that...tough call

          Good shout as they don't play Arsenal in 37. In 36 however they meet a very weakened Arsenal side. Why shouldn't he score at least one goal?

    Any of these worth a hit?

    A) Christensen -> Davies
    B) Willian/Mahrez -> Sterling/Eriksen

      All good moves - If you don't have any city cover, then get sterling

        Have only Jesus. Would you swap either Mahrez or Willian?
