Arnautovic and Fabianski the key figures as Gameweek 8 kicks off

A large number of Fantasy Premier League managers are turning to Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) and West Ham to kick-start Gameweek 8.

The Austrian forward, named in the starting line-up for the second week in a row, sits in 17.6% of Fantasy squads for a Friday night trip to Brighton.

Arnautovic is the most popular player in tonight’s fixture, but colleague Lukasz Fabianski (£4.5m) is not far behind with 13.5% ownership.

None of their Hammers’ team-mates are even close though. The third-most fashionable West Ham player is Felipe Anderson (£6.8m), owned by 2.6%.

Such is Fantasy interest in Brighton that their most popular assets aren’t even involved tonight.

Dale Stephens (£4.4m) and Markus Suttner (£3.9m) are both in a little over 5% of Fantasy squads but neither of them are in the matchday squad.

Anthony Knockaert (£5.5m) has caught the eye in recent weeks but only 1.5% of Fantasy managers are in possession of him at time of writing.

Meanwhile, Glenn Murray (£6.5m) returns to the side after being rested for the Gameweek 7 trip to Manchester City.

        Because I’ll be 0.2 short on Knockaert and from what I’ve seen hughs has looked ok for Watford and there fixtures look ok. Not many options sub 5.3

        I sort of do.

        But I reckon he will fall 0.2. In the meantime I could make 0.1 on a Laca 0.2 rise. Then buy Aguero at my current sell value for a 0.1 profit.

        It would also be annoying if I missed out on 0.1m if Aguero gets injured and I go and sell him anyway.

          I doubt he’ll fall 0.2. I’d expect him to be back to 11.4 by the time the next Gameweek starts, to be honest. But selling now/buying back when he drops locks a 0.2 profit in (assuming you bought at 11) so isn't a terrible move, it just gives you 0.1 less to play with short-term.

          I believe he will gain this .1 drop back. Kane rising from 12.4 to 12.6 will bounce back very likely imo. Depends on how Salah performs also.

    With Newcastle and Brighton having a good run of fixtures and Wolves and Watford offering cheap attacking defenders, I am tempted to wilcard with cheap (under 5m) defenders with alexander arnold the exception. Gives chance for Sterling, Hazard, Salah and Maddison with a decent front 3.

    Good or bad idea?

        They have a pricing problem. 4.5 would have been bargain (I had him last year all the time) and 5.0 is too much. 4.7 or 4.8 would heve been correct price. Sad that pricing system is not optimal.
