Aubameyang and Ramsey back on the bench again for Arsenal

Gameweek 9 comes to a conclusion on Monday evening as Arsenal take on Leicester City at the Emirates, a fixture in which seven goals were scored last season.

Jamie Vardy (£9.0m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.7m) scored in that match in August 2017 and both players lead the line for their respective clubs this evening.

Unai Emery has once again chosen to overlook Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.7m) and Aaron Ramsey (£7.4m), however, with the pair among the Arsenal substitutes.

Any disheartened Fantasy owners should perhaps take some consolation from the fact that the pair went on to score 15 and ten points respectively when named as substitutes in Gameweek 8, though the Gunners were up against a welcoming Fulham defence a fortnight ago.

Mesut Ozil (£8.3m) returns to the side to line up alongside Alex Iwobi (£5.5m) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£6.9m) in the three attacking midfield positions behind Lacazette.

Sokratis (£5.2m) and Petr Cech (£5.0m) were doubts for this match and haven’t quite made it, while Nacho Monreal (£5.5m) has been withdrawn from the Arsenal squad as a precaution with a tight hamstring.

Stephan Lichtsteiner (£4.6m) makes his first league start of the season at left-back.

Leicester City’s team news is less eventful, with Claude Puel forced into the only change he has made this evening: Jonny Evans (£4.8m) replacing the suspended Wes Morgan (£4.5m) at centre-half.

Summer signing Caglar Soyuncu (£4.9m) is among the substitutes.

Ricardo Pereira (£5.1m) once again lines up “out of position” on the right of midfield on the opposite flank to the most popular Fantasy asset in the Foxes’ squad: James Maddison (£7.0m).

Arsenal XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Bellerin, Holding, Mustafi, Lichtsteiner; Xhaka, Torreira; Ozil, Iwobi, Mkhitaryan; Lacazette.

Leicester City XI (4-4-1-1): Schmeichel; Amartey, Evans, Maguire, Chilwell; Pereira, Mendy, Ndidi, Maddison; Iheanacho; Vardy.

24pts and went from 42k to a season low at 102k, rough GW.

Would love some opinions, have 2 ft. Was looking at KDB, but not so sure now.

    Patricio
    Alonso Robertson Doherty
    Hazard Mane Richarlison Fraser
    Kane Laca Arnie

    Boruc Bennett WB Obiang

Potential KDB move was something like Kane+Fraser+Bennett->Wilson+KDB+Mendy (-4)

Tell me three things you are proud of this season and one thing that you regret.

    Proud:
    1) No red arrows yet this season
    2) Picking up Hazard in GW2
    3) Ignoring the numerous failed midfield bandwagons

    Regret:
    1) Not going with my gut and captaining Kun when he bagged a hat trick

      1, Ditto but can't last
      2. Hindsight ... appears wild card game week 4 optimal
      3. Getting on Doherty at the right time

      1. Owned but not captained any of the hatricks

      Proud:

      1) Good start and consistency GW6 rank: 21,446 -> GW9 rank: 21,880

      Regret:

Wildcarding last week and not getting City def in

      Proud:

      1) Holebas (c) for -2pts
      2) Picking Hazard before Cardiff

      Regret:

      1) Starting the season with Aubameyang over Kun and Van Dijk over Robertson.

I guess GW1 OR of 238 is also something I should be proud of 😆

      1) First 2 GW avg over 100pts (99 + 102)
      2) Patience - have not been jumping on BW's. (expect Fraser but got some of his good GW's)

      regret

Kun to Kane 2 weeks ago basicly ruined GW's 8 & 9, now taking a hit to bring in Aguero + Salah for next GW (waiting til Friday) OR rank dropped to 12k which is good but it could be much better without that stupid Aguero Kane move.

      Proud
      1)Mendy(C) last week
2)Taken only 1 hit all season, helped me get a good rank

      Regret
      1) Missed out on Doherty and ended up doing King to Mitrovic
      2) Feel for Trollcott

Looks annoyingly tough to get Mendy in team in the coming weeks without losing either Alonso or Robertson :/ Do you think it would be too light midfield with Josh Murphy or as 4th midfielder?

If you can bench him occassionaly, then I guess having Kenedy/Murphy is fine...

It's all about points. It doesn't matter whether the points come from defence or midfield.

That's what it basicly is. Getting Mendy with my current structure probably means I'd have to play two of Doherty/Murphy/Ings every week and that doesn't look too good. Can't wait for saturday and 2 FT's to contemplate options how to get Mendy or Laporte in 😀

Depends how often you would play him..
Basically you can have Richarlison instead of Alonso but I prefer Alonso

Which of these moves looks best:

    A) Trippier > Mendy
    B) Trippier > Gomez
    C) Richarlison > Maddison
    D) Save

    Patricio
    Robertson Alonso Trippier
    Salah Hazard Richarlison Fraser
    Aguero Mitrovic Arnautovic

    What to do here?
    Patricio (Button)
    Alonso Mendy Robertson TAA (AWB)
    Hazard Mane Richarlison Fraser (Walcott)
    Kane Mitrovic (Kamara)
    1 ft 0.1 itb
Thinking of Kane to Arnie with FT .should I be taking a hit for Walcott to Maddison besides that ? or Kamara to Vardy maybe, if TAA doesn't play Walcott comes on..
