No start for Arnautovic or Vardy as Leicester host West Ham

Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) has missed out on Gameweek 10 after Manuel Pellegrini revealed that he had been suffering with an illness.

Javier Hernandez (£6.2m) replaces him in the starting line-up as Grady Diangana (£4.5m) also earned his first start of the season.

Arnautovic is not the only mid-price striker causing problem for his owners. Following stories of an illness this week, Jamie Vardy (£9.0m) also misses out on the first XI, but he was named on the substitute’s bench by Claude Puel.

It is a strange occurence considering Vardy’s insistence on social media that he was “back to full strength”.

Fantasy interest in the match is likely to revolve around James Maddison (£7.0m) who is set to start the match.

“(Jamie Vardy) could not train earlier this week. I want a player who is at 100% to start. He will have a good opportunity to come in the second-half and show his energy.” – Claude Puel

      If he doesn't bring Vardy on at HT and they don't win the fans will turn on him too.

      The dressing room must be doubting him as he makes strange team calls. Amartey at RB is a strange decision

        You can tell when a team has problems behind the scenes. Cardiff were battered today but never once did they look like anything other than a team that was a genuine "team"...and I include Warnock in that "team" from his post match interview.

        Well I did it...I brought Shaqiri in because it was one of the few times this season he seemed certain to start...so now he's not even a starter when he's certain to start should I keep?

          Gutted this week. Had planned to do Patrício to Ryan with my FT but I thought Murray wouldn't start and saw Wolves keeping a clean sheet so I swapped my £4.5 mid instead. 71 points with Agüero, Hazard, Maddison, Alonso and Mendy to play though.
