Medium-term planning takes centre stage in our latest Scoutcast as Joe, David, Luke and Az look ahead to a major swing in the fixtures next month.
With the season ticker turning in favour of the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal, and away from Liverpool, the Scoutcast crew are already hatching plans as they look to get one step ahead of the template.
Our community questions section focuses on which heavy hitters to ditch and which to bring in over the coming weeks. This includes a discussion on whether Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling has become “essential”, following his 21-point haul against Southampton at the weekend.
The season ticker comes under further scrutiny as we tackle the community’s questions about West Ham. With only one bad fixture from now until mid-January, it is no wonder the Hammers are attracting interest.
Our review of Gameweek 11 sees Luke’s maverick tendencies prevail, while Az, David and Joe continue to tread water with an unremarkable set of scores.
A very well-known manager who featured prominently on the wrong side of our regular ‘rough with the smooth’ round-up some weeks back returns, this time with a sensationally smooth points haul.
Elsewhere, Gameweek 12’s top differential and clean sheet predictions section features a cheeky chat about two Spurs midfielders.
The crew then finish off this packed one-hour-and-20-minute show by revealing their transfer and captaincy plans this weekend, with Liverpool’s enticing home clash with Fulham firmly on their minds.

Is it crazy to be getting rid of my City attacking assets?
I know they just hit Southampton and Shakhtar for 6 but hear me out. They've really been flat-track bullies this season and while on the surface they look to have okay fixtures for the next few GWs (MUN, whu, BOU, wat, che), I don't think they'll be as straight forward as they seem. They haven't looked sharp away from home (granted they've had harder fixtures away so far) and Watford and Bournemouth have had great starts to the season. West Ham's defence has improved greatly (this week's win was the first time they conceded more than a goal since GW3 and more importantly, set up very defensively against the big teams). Tbh, I think this week's match against Man Utd could be the game they score the most on this run. Then again, it's a derby and Mourinho so it's just as likely that Man Utd pull off a 1 nil upset than a 3 nil City win.
I'm thinking of going Aguero to Arnie, Bilva to Hazard. Ideally, I wouldn't be getting rid of both City players at once but need to ditch Aguero for the cash and Bilva just doesn't look as threatening as Dilva or Sterling. I'm scared of getting rid of a guy who's scored 7 goals and 6 assists already this season but hopefully won't get a big haul in these fixtures. Will look to get Aguero or Sterling either GW16 when I might WC or GW17 when their fixtures turn (EVE, CRY, lei, sou, LIV, WOL, HUD, new). Might be a lot of hiding behind couches until then though if I follow through with this
