Raheem Sterling’s 21-point haul against Southampton in Gameweek 11 has caused a disturbance in the Fantasy Premier League force.

There are plenty of managers who are weighing up whether he is a better option than the highly-owned Sergio Aguero. His 7.7% ownership means there is a potential opportunity to get him in now and use him as a powerful differential before the masses cotton on.

          Yeah. Don't get me wrong, I've had Fraser from Gwk1 and rate him highly - especially at the price...

          I'm very much a realist with NUFC (my club), but one thing Rafa has done with this massively underfinanced side is make it very defensively strong. I just don't fancy Fraser's chances of getting points this weekend as more likely than Kenedy or Ings. That said, Fraser is my first choice from the bench. Kenedy is a confidence player and has had an awful run, but he was tremendous in our last game (no points to reflect it though). I can see him getting a goal against Bournemouth. Ings is playing brilliantly - it's a shame Southampton are so terrible. I still fancy him to get a goal.

          Most will rest Ings.
          I have Ings and Fraser and I'm dropping Fraser.
          My Toon side are poor, but if they do concede it'll likely just be the one. Ings more likely to get goals IMO.

    Last night I was trying different ways to bring in attacking Arsenal and Spurs cover for GW15 onwards. (Without losing Sterling, Hazard or Mane) Here's what I come up with:

    Fabianski
    Mendy, Diop, Doherty
    Sterling, Hazard, Martial, Mane, Alli
    Arnautovic, Lacazette

    Hamer, Yedlin, AWB, Success

    The obvious weakness is the defence... but I kinda like it. I know West Ham haven't been the most convincing at the back, but I want to make the most of their insanely good fixtures, hence the double up.

          He's by far the most on form midfielder, and has the most points per match as we speak.

      I rate it. What's interesting is you've found a way to fit in one good attacking asset from each of the top 6 clubs. In 3 cases (Sterling, Hazard, Martial) you probably have the best attacker in their team, and in the other 3 cases you probably have the 2nd best. There are a lot of points in that lot.

      Defence is obviously where you've compromised but I wouldn't even call it weak. In isolation Fab is a great keeper, Mendy is party of the RAM whole trinity and close to essential if not rotated, and Doherty is the best value player in the game and making an argument for being fixture proof. The bench nothing special but they all play.

      Points to note :

      Arsenal coverage for fixtures
      Martial for Utd fixtures
      Anderson & Balbuena for WH fixtures
      Schindler for Hudd amazing fixtures - stick him in for home games
      Could swap Anderson & Kun for Sterling & Arnie but don't see the difference there
      Kane for Spurs fixtures - could be a great differential
      No Liverpool - don't like their fixtures from 16-22

      Huge template buster... but deviates from heavy mids to heavy attack.

      Don’t forget Hazard only played in the second half last gw and nothing at all the week before.
      There would be some rotation issues when Hazard plays the full mins again and William will be in that rotation mix ! It’s a gamble really.

    Would appreciate any thoughts on this lot: feeling relatively happy, but there are definitely some areas for improvement, and it's horribly template. Any suggestions gratefully received.

    Options I'm currently considering:

    A.) Downgrade a premium defender, upgrade Mané to Sterling
    B.) Swap Laca & Wilson for Morata & Arnautovic (not keen on keeping double BOU attack long-term)
    C.) Some combination of the above (e.g. if Mané rises I could do Laca & Mané to Sterling & Morata)
    C.) Use a FT to upgrade one of my bench players (Masuaku's rubbish, double Wolves defence is a worry) but otherwise leave as is

      You have to take risks if you want to climb. This doesn't necessarily have to be personnel - maybe captains? For example, haz over Salah this week etc.

      my only defence i could think of was he looked tired in first half and klopp wanted to sub him as he was lacking energy due to the arsenal game? to be brought back in for the fulham game...i hope as an owner

    Saving FT this week:
    With 2 FT next week and £0 itb would you:
    A - downgrade maddison to upgrade defence
    B - downgrade maddison and swap mane for sterling
    C - downgrade Aguero to Wilson and swap maddison for sterling
    D - swap Pat for Ryan and leave everything else as it stands
