      A lot on this site want to go kola.
      There is some sense but a rotation risk (Arsenal don't have 3 centre backs) Arsenal poor defensive record and his habit of dropping clangers. Not convinced myself.

      I think that might bigger the trickiest question I've ever seen.

      I think with wingbacks, Kola is marginally more nailed. With 4 at the back, I was going to say Monreal marginally, but it's too early to call, since we haven't seen Emery play Monreal there yet, but okay I'll stick by it. Overall, it depends on too many factors, and I personally would get Bellerin or no one.

    good morning all.

    like most people here, I've spent the majority of this season with at least 2 premium defensive backs. worked out pretty well so far. but now that salah has proven a stable form, sterling is bringing in hauls every now and then, hazard still in top 3 scorers and spurs assets are back in the picture; is it time to spend more funds on attack an less on defense? just trying to figures things out before my WC 🙂

      Team balance is the important factor. No point having all the heavy hitters at the expense of the rest of your team especially as you can only captain one of them. I would say 3 of Salah, Haz, Sterling, Kane and Auba and look for value elsewhere. The defenders offer the best value in the game

    Hi all, would appreciate thoughts on defenders around 5.0 to 5.5. Trying to decide whether to ditch Laporte in WC, but can’t find a compelling alternative.

    Here are my thoughts. Anyone have any suggestions? Who have I missed?

    * Kola - have him
    * Luiz - maybe, but seems a sideways move
    * Bellerin - Have Kola
    * TAA - injured
    * Lovren - sideways move at best
    * Davies - terrible stats

      If you have sub to play for the next 2 weeks get Digne. If not just stick with Laporte. Man City's defence has been solid I dont see why you have to ditch him on WC. Beware that Monreal is back in training and Kola might be rotated.
